Just to put things in context, she was 5 years old when Nazi Germany surrendered.

If you read the comments from the article, several people say their mothers were 5 when the war ended and remember plenty about the Nazis. They say living in a war will imprint your brain with memories most children wouldn’t have. They also had parents/ friends/ relatives talking with them and around them about events of the time.

“Just to put things in context, she was 5 years old when Nazi Germany surrendered.”

There were plenty of True Believers around for decades after the war.
Does anyone think the members of the Hitler Youth changed their views just because the German military surrendered?
How many SS fanatics doused their Aryan attitude and became meek lambs?

Two generations had to die out before the fire was truly under control.

This lady most likely saw many NAZI True Believers In her youth and heard what they had to say.
