Does anyone think the members of the Hitler Youth changed their views just because the German military surrendered?

This lady most likely saw many NAZI True Believers In her youth and heard what they had to say.
Back before the 2008 election my mother, who was born in 1932 in Berlin, Germany and lived there through the war years and beyond, stated repeatedly that Obama reminded her of Hitler and his supporters reminded her of Nazis. She could not state this often enough especially when the crazies started writing songs and creating dances extolling Obama’s “virtues” for kids to perform in grade schools.
I think she found it mildly ironic that Americans could fall for that crap the same way Germans fell for it in the early 30s.
I know an old German lady who says exactly the same thing. She said Democrats/liberals are escalating exactly like the Nazi movement.
If you were a kid in Germany in spring 1944, you knew times were rough and food was in short supply. That did not change until Xmas 1946 when American care packages started to show up. A lot of people blame on local Nazi political folks for the mess created.
And they dehumanize people who disagree with them.
My MIL (RIP) was a teen in Germany during WWII. She said “iv’e seen this before” as she commented on the obama regime.

Hitler effectively shut off all dissent. Parents were very upset at the teaching their children were receiving which included easy sex.

Hitler ran for President, not Chancellor, he was defeated by von Hindenburg, but later on appointed Chancellor, from where he engineered a coup behind the scenes.

Enough Americans voted for that socialist garbage that gave us Obama for two terms. I thank God that we were spared Hillary. She would have been the nail in the coffin. But I can’t help but think that someone worse than Clinton and Obama are heading our way in the next decade that will make those two look like pikers.

I fear you may be right.
We are getting older and there are at least two generations of younger people who have been indoctrinated by our horrendous public schools. We let our school systems hire uneducated Communists for teachers and then let them brainwash our children.
It will be a hard fight but we can still prevail, and with God's help we will do so.
