BRIDGEWATER, N.J. President Donald Trump said Sunday that he would consider shutting down the government if Democrats refuse to vote for his immigration proposals, including a U.S.-Mexico border wall.
Republicans, trying to protect their majority in Congress, are playing down the chance of a shutdown as the November election nears. Trump, however, isnt backing away from the idea.
I would be willing to shut down government if the Democrats do not give us the votes for Border Security, which includes the Wall! Trump tweeted. Must get rid of Lottery, Catch & Release etc. and finally go to system of Immigration based on MERIT!
We need great people coming into our Country! Trump said....

How many budgets and resolutions have passed since he started. If zero, then yay and why zero? If more than zero, then its midterm kabuki.
They only shut down to jobs of the less-than-worthless government employees.
Leave it shut down long enough that "non-essential" personnel are forced to get real jobs.

The commies in congress and the press always say the shut down goes ill for the party creating it.
But that’s because they fail to realize (or acknowledge) that the issue at hand actually has something to do with it.
The last shut down threat from dems went ill for them because they were fighting to promote illegal immigration (DACA).
But a shut down to work towards ending it will go well. Illegal immigration consistently polls as a top issue yes?
