Donald Trump Jr is in hot water on social media after posting a picture of his eldest son holding a gun on Thursday.
The 40-year-old is under fire after posting a throwback picture of nine-year-old Donald Trump III holding a double-barreled shotgun while on a duck hunting trip.
'Donnie helping me out in the #duck blind last season,' he said in the post caption, tagging the photo in Texas.
Definitely the best #hunting buddy out there. Get them outdoors early and often... you won't regret it!!!'
The image has garnered split reactions, with many wondering if it is safe for such a young child to be holding the gun.
'Guns are a dangerous toy for a child,' said one person in the comments.
Another added: 'You truly are disgusting....'
'Please tell me this is for food and not just a sport; and that its being done as painlessly as possible,' a different parent stated.

Bwa Ha Ha...
Your tables sucks too...
my smarter than me phone does the same thing...
Reminds me of the spoof poster of a snowflake, all wee-wee’d up over all the alligators being slaughtered to make Gatorade.
No, he is not wearing lipstick. I am the oldest of 10 kids. Two of my siblings had naturally noticeable lips. One was a redhead and the other was a blonde. Both of them were beautiful children and had lips just like Trump’s grandson.
I love this pic and I wonder where in Texas they duck hunt.
Also, I want to ask that food/pain lib just how painless abortions are, especially to the unborn BABY.
I remember gun safety class in Libby, Montana, when I was in 5th or 6th grade. As my dad was a police officer and our house had lots of guns, we were shooting much younger. My own twins got started around 7 and have been competitively shooting, plus recreation since then—both pistol and rifle. They want a shotgun and to also go hunting. I plan to get them muzzleloader kits around 13 so they can make their own. Maybe a 3-D printer as more interesting and modern choice? That’d should stir up the snowflakes having a 13 year hold 3D print their own gun.
Down before they ever hear a sound.
Haven't seen banning in desert so far this year, but we bring shovels and water. Never had a problem, always careful. Smokers are bigger risk and we don't smoke.
And rocks! Not ball bearings. Still, most kids could knock out a steetlight at 50 paces ;-)
When I was 9, I certainly had experience in shooting a shotgun.
Age ten was when most boys got their first gun — a .410.

“Is he wearing lipstick?”
Looks like chapstick to me.
Probably needed it on a duck hunt.
Be PROUD of yourself. I was searching for the first poster to mention the great thing of a FATHER sharing an activity and experience with a very young son. It could be shooting for score, hunting, fishing, hiking or even quietly reading. That son, living with, living alongside, and learning from DAD is alrady two steps ahead.
How many young boys and/or young men are not even sure who the hell their “FATHER” was? Today, way too many and it sadly is apparent. BOYS learn from the MEN in their lives as well as from Mom.
SJWs won’t like this, but GIRLS also learn much from MOM, and they also learn quite a lot from DAD, too.
Even if they were left in situ, well researched numbers of ducks need to be harvested every year. Our parks and wildlife people should be doing a lot more education of the public regarding why some species of animals and birds are healthier, happier and have longer lives on average when proper game management through harvesting is used every year.
CLUE : when out hunting in cold dry wind, wear a lip balm to avoid damage ( and ignore comments about photos of you posted on the internet about wearing lipstick)
“Under fire by whom? “
They are under fire from me.
Hes not holding a double-barreled shotgun, thats an over-under.
><
I noticed that, too.
Husband and I taught hunter safety classes to 9 and up kids.
What is up with this PICTURE! Outrageous. We need VIDEO, not pictures. Video of little Donnie blasting a few of those ducks right out of the sky. Get on the ball here Junior and upload some of the good stuff!!!
They certainly are.
Do need to give dad kudos though for the excellent hearing protection his son is wearing.
