Country music star Eric Church is making his feelings about the NRA very clearand they arent pleasant.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the signer cast blame on the NRA for Congress lack of action after the Las Vegas massacre, the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history that left 58 people dead and more than 800 injured.
I blame the lobbyists, Church told the magazine. "And the biggest in the gun world is the NRA.
Church was a headliner at the Route 91 Harvest Festival where the shooting took place, performing just two nights earlier. His fans were among the victims, and, understandably, it got to him.
It got dark for me for a while, the signer admitted. I went through a period, a funk, for six months at least. I had anger. Ive still got anger. Something broke in me that night, and it still hasnt healed. Theres a part of me that hopes it haunts me forever.
The shooting also seems to have warped his views on firearms a bit, although Church still claims hes a Second Amendment guy" who owns about half a dozen rifles, shotguns and pistols.

I might try the others too. One son is into bluegrass. I like being exposed to new music all the time. Another reason to have children. ;). But yeah, I like what I like. Anyone can mock my tastes but Im happy!
Umm don’t they mean “former” country music star?
Dissing one of the tenants of country music is usually career ending.
Probably more like 99-100% of his now former fan base.
Seeing the picture above, at first I thought that was George Michael.
‘Cause I gotta have faith
I gotta faith
Because I gotta to have faith faith
I gotta to have faith, faith, faith...
(Don’t forget to shake butt to the beat.)
“So hes basically 70s rock masquerading as country?”
The lead guitar in 70’s rock was better.
“Former” probably won’t take long...
Yes indeed. Except for the contemporary genres which are just unbearable to me (such as thrash metal, etc), no one in mainstream rock seems to know how to wield a guitar, or other fundamental rock instruments, anymore. Chis Squire, Jaco Pastorius, Bill Bruford, etc, where are you?
But I will say, theres a young German girl (name of Sina) on YT who plays the drums like nobodys business. She can play the classics, but has her own style also, and prefers to learn by feel rather click tracks and such. Im even more impressed because Ive never really been impressed by female rock music instrumentalists. Ive yet to hear of a female guitar player who had the chops, combined with the creativity, of the best of the men, and no, Nancy Wilson isnt up there, in my book. (My understanding is that the most famous riffs in Hearts most famous songs were played by the men in the group.)
After all, it's a TOTALLY Russian entity, dontchaknow.
Eric got his camera and got on his bike and rode as fast as he could 1800 miles from his house in Nashville to the Mandalay Bay hotel.
