“I was a kind of pretty girl who made movies,” Fonda said...

At best that's all she has ever been. She has demonstrably not really changed much in the intellect department. Like so many young people she thought she knew a whole heck of a lot more than she actually knew. Yes I include myself in that group and thank my father for his patience with me in that regard. ;-)

The difference is, most of the rest of us grow up. We realize what we know, what we don't know. We develop reason and perspective through experience and education. We are able to separate what is from what we wish to be. Liberals like Fonda never seem to develop that ability. They remain easy pickings for socialist/fascist "leaders" who come along and manipulate them into following along with some of the worst, darkest ideas and ideals in human history. Liberals like Fonda believe what they are told to believe, leading to all kinds of outright stupidity. They would be funny (and they are) but they're actually serious about their dumb-a** agenda.

Now she's thoughtless about Trump. She will realize that 50 years from now.

“I wouldn’t use the word revolution now, but constant change [is important to me],”

Maybe I'm taking this out of context, but IMHO this is a huge problem with her side of the aisle. The idea that we must change everything for change sake.

Firstly, it's unnecessarily disruptive, which is a waste of time, money and lives.

Secondly, even with the best of intentions, chances are changing something that works, even if it only works at 80%, is going to result in something that works even less (h/t Jordan Peterson).

Most importantly, IMHO, and also why I'm Conservative, is that it takes incredible hubris to assume that after thousands of years of "modern" human development, that none of those dead people had any sense and that all those ideas that have risen to the top through iterations through millions of your fellow humans' lives need to be taken apart because you don't like the results right this minute. You really have to have an ultra high opinion of yourself, or be a fool, to want to jettison part of the sum total of knowledge and experience of humanity for your "new" idea. E.G. gay marriage, 125 flavors of gender, socialism, "guaranteed income", open borders, etc., etc.

Commie lover Jane Fonda is only pretending to be sorry so she can scream about Trump and the Russians.

One of my Nam vet friends, just passed a couple of months ago. He did not think much of her either. I got to Nam in July of 1970. He had already returned by then.

"Thoughtless." Is that what they're calling it now..? She should have been hanged by the neck until dead..!

“I didn’t like it that there were men in France that knew better than I did,”

Traitor, it wouldn't take more than a 3-year-old to know better than you did.

I was in Vietnam in the summer of 1972 when Fonda Bitch went to Hanoi, sat on that AA gun and called us “babykillers & war criminals”. Later in 1973 she called the returning POWs “hypocrites and liars” when they described being tortured.

FB made her pact with Satan long ago so she has years to live, unfortunately. My hatred for this unrepentant traitor will live much longer.

"...“I didn’t like it that there were men in France that knew better than I did [about Vietnam]..."

It is a rule of thumb: Generally, avoid condemning men who have had to do things in combat unless you have seen that specific situation with your own eyes, and accept you don't know what they have been through.

She did what most liberals do, and assumed she knew, or could know, everything.

As the Dems spit on our returning Vietnam soldiers, the Antifa wing of the Democrat party spits on police officers everyday. Their party really hasn’t changed.

I worked with a medical equipment repair guy who I absolutely hated. He was a very slight guy, Asian, and he spoke English so poorly that it was a teeth gritting experience to speak with him. He and I were at odds, we didn’t get along, and all of our interactions raised my blood pressure.

I had to work side by side with him for nearly a full day to address an issue, and much of the time, there was nothing to do (we had to wait until a specific condition was met...so we waited)

We began talking, and I found out about him.

He had been a junior officer in the ARVN, and when the North took over, he was put into a “Re-education Camp” in the middle of the jungle. He spent several years there, until he finally escaped, made his way to the coast, and stole a boat.

I recall he spent nearly two weeks in a open boat by himself in the South China Sea, had to escape from pirates, and was eventually found and taken to Thailand, to Australia, and then to the USA over the course of about a year.

When I asked him what it was like in the Re-education Camp, he got a very far away look in his eyes and said almost inaudibly: “The things I had to do...” and said no more.

Funny. You go through life, interact with people, like or respect some, dislike or disrespect some, and then you find out, you simply didn’t know that person, didn’t know the paths they took in life, the things they had been through...and your feelings towards that person change.

We became very friendly and cordial after that. Whenever I saw him, we would stop and chat, and when we parted, we shook hands. I have lost contact with him and haven’t seen him in over ten years...but I think of him often.

I feel much the same way you do.

Her Daddy should have taken her on his lap and spanked her for her stupidity. Sorry Jane, you will always be remembered, by those of us who served in that era, like Axis Sally and Tokyo Rose.

I can forgive her viewpoints. I can forgive her lies.
She handed a note given to her by a POW to the guard. That is unforgivable.
Sorry. I don’t have what it takes to forgive her for that.
