Kid Rock: John James will make D.C. liberals cry when he wins Debbie Stabenow's seat
Daily Tribune ^ | 7/13/2018 | Dave Herndon

In the weeks leading up to the GOP primary for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Democrat Debbie Stabenow, the race between John James and Sandy Pensler has heated up.

With less than a month before the race, Pensler and his supporters have been running attack ads on James.

Some of James’ supporters, including former Seal Team 6 member Rob O’Neill, who is credited with firing the shots that killed Osama Bin Laden, and Michigan’s native son Kid Rock, have spoken out against the ads.

In a letter announcing his formal support of James, Kid Rock referred to the ads as “bull––.”

...

If James were to win the primary, Kid Rock said, he felt James could beat Stabenow, as well. The winner of the Aug. 7 primary race will face her in the general election. ....

James, 36, is a combat veteran who served eight years in the Army before coming back to Michigan to run his families business. He lives in Farmington Hills.

Pensler, 61, is a Detroit native who has taught at Yale and Harvard and now calls himself an entrepreneur. He lives in Grosse Pointe.

Neither man has held public office in the past.

Awesome song :)

These two have been accusing the other of being fake. I’ve yet to really do any homework....but would appreciate thoughts from Freepers.

I’m hoping that after this November we’ll be able to make a 16/18 side by side video of the TV Left’s horror and disbelief as election returns come in.

Captain James does frequent rallies around the State. Most of them are linked to on facebook.

He's the real deal, and had my vote from the moment he and President Trump exchanged salutes on a Trump rally.

Kid Rock’s endorsement make not be something you want.
Many were left disappointed last year, when Kid finally declared that ‘Fk No!’ he is not running for any office.
He laughed in our republican faces. Remember? Forget all that he had been implying for months and months.

I never did take him seriously. He always seemed locked into the portrayal of a certain stage presence. He didn’t even bother to use his real name.
Ted Nugent was correct that Rock was never serious.
I’ve always heard that Rock raises a lot of money for charities, so that’s good. That is his forte, and where he should focus his skills, not at trying to be a Kingmaker.

RE: John James

I've met the man. Officer to Officer; Pilot to Pilot. He's one of us. I'm supporting him in my tiny town of Shepherd, MI.

If you're a Michigan voter, take the time to vote for him in the primary. He supports President Trump!

“These two have been accusing the other of being fake ...would appreciate thoughts from Freepers.”

It seems that John James has has it all - looks, smarts, experience. His family and he run a successful business, but his military service really makes him our blood brother.

Enlisted in the Army, got appointed to West Point, earned a Ranger tab, became an Apache attack helicopter pilot, and flew 750 combat hours over Baghdad (’07-’09).

750 hours is about every day for two years. It is a lot of intense combat action - not cruising along a straight line ferrying freight. Apaches don’t transport people or goods - they are only for fighting.

During this period in Baghdad (among other things), Muqtada Sadr’s Mahdi Army was firing rockets at US forces in Baghdad, and Apaches were firing back into East Baghdad (Sadr City). They also provided direct support to forces on the ground whenever they were engaged. It was just a couple of minutes of flight time from the airport to the action, and those pilots were wearing out their weapons systems.

Well, without making any recommendations with this post, here's a couple things in the mix for consideration (among all the other stuff).

John James has been a strong Trump supporter, and strongly supports border security and strengthening our immigration laws.

I would not be surprised if his Republican primary opponent (a former Harvard faculty member, who has never been tested in any political office) is getting money laundered from the Democrats.

I was in Iraq 03-04, just outside of Fallujah. Apaches, Spectre, Predators, and some unseen fast movers were above us all the time starting about April 2004.

Very interesting times.
