NBC News reporter Ken Dilanian suggested Monday that President Donald Trump would hurt the livelihoods of Obama administration alumni by taking away the valuable commodity of their security clearances. Dilanian (pictured, bottom center), who covers the intelligence community and national security issues, accused Trump of seeking to levy a financial penalty on former CIA Director John Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper both of whom are paid contributors at cable news networks.
Brennan now works for Dilanians employer NBC News as an MSNBC analyst. Clapper has since joined CNN in a similar capacity.
He further insinuated that federal employees should consider resisting the order if the president gives it, lambasting Trump for what he called an extraordinary threat of political retribution.

I didn’t go on secret squirrel missions very often, but I have done a few. Back in D.C. after one, I got a call from a former Secretary of Defense, he wanted to have breakfast. I told him that I would happy to have breakfast, but I told him that I would only tell him those things that I had been authorized to say, and I would tell the White House about what happened at the meeting. We didn’t have breakfast. Some time later, he told me that he would always remember that conversation because no one did that sort of thing.
Wow.
The guy who voted for Gus Hall needs to lose his clearance stat.
The rest of these scumbags could never have gotten clearance under an OPM run by a REAL AMERICAN.
The JIG IS UP!!!!!
Cry me a freakin’ river, NBC!
These scumbags tried to overthrow the duly elected president.
Clapper, Comey, McCabe, and Brennan should all be sitting in a prison cell.
NBC needs to go.
It’s actually hysterical. If any Trump people held security clearances and worked for a network they would get a special counsel to look it over.
After All, they don’t even want his cabinet to have security clearances when they work in the White House.
Most people who are jailed after they commit crimes loose everything. Why are these dirtbags any different?
Oh I forgot! Theyre leftists
The lack of critical thinking in these journOlists is astounding
That’s the whole point.
They are benefiting commercially from having top secret clearance and being commentators giving the impression that their personal opinions are based on information only they have access to.
That needs to be stopped
Yes, why would the still have security clearances? That would be like when you leave a company and would still have the ability to read emails, or financial balance sheets. You no longer work there, as in FORMER employee.
... and gone!!!
They abused their positions of trust. General Flynn did not deserve what they did to him. He has been egregiously harmed by their actions.
If you don’t work for the Government, it is supposed to expire or be revoked.
Up to POTUS to revoke.
Gee that’s a shame. /sarcasm to the max
And why should these people even have security clearances and direct access to raw intelligence after what they've done to compromise the intelligence services of this country, if they no longer work for the government?
They're lucky there's not been a bunch of people who haven't tarred and feathered them and lit a torch to them all.
That's what I think of these poor darlings not being able to continue to compromise intelligence and make personal money off it.
Try that in the Private Sector (with the exception of NBC) and you will not only be out on your ear the next day...most likely you will be dragged out in cuffs.
Their future in the private sector is over.
Only PMSNBC would hire them.
since when do they keep their clearance once out of a job that requires it??
TFB
Its good enough for those traitors
