I find that if you do regular maintenance to keep the engine purring, run them, and keep them lubricated, they'll last for decades. The ones that last become "classics".
I know a fairly wealthy guy who gave the advice, “If it’s got boobs or wheels, rent it. It will only give you problems.”
The version in Israel is “if it flies, floats, or f—ks, rent it.”
