During a statement on Monday, House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) said that the White Houses statement that President Trump is looking to revoke former CIA Director John Brennans security clearance as well as examining the clearances of several other former officials is exactly what you see in authoritarian regimes.
Schiff said, Todays action, suggesting that we will punish critics of the president by stripping them of their security clearance, that is not what you see in a democracy. That is exactly what you see in authoritarian regimes.
He added that the move is a despicable action
to try to silence critics, and the cowardly action of someone who is afraid of criticism.

Make it Law and if it’s already on the Books enforce it .
In an authoritarian regime, Schiff would succumb to gravity or a bullet and certainly would not feel so free to share his thoughts.
Continuity? Considering the intelligence disasters that have occurred over the last 40+ years, continuity of thoughts and behavior of the management of US intelligence agencies has not been a good thing. Drain the swamp.
News Flash to Schiff: Yo, IDIOT, most regular folks with security clearances have those said security clearances removed/revoked upon separation from the job/position that required those/the security clearance, dumbsh*t!!!!
If they were merely critics, I would agree. But apparently they’re conspirators looking to take down the President. If losing their security clearances is all that happens to them, they should be grateful.
I had a top secret clearence with access to encryption codes at the Pentagon and command center in Seoul Korea.
When i left the. Army i was debeiefed and told i would go to prison if i spoke about it too much. Oh yeah and the celarence canceled.
When will Trump come down on these scumbags? I would make Schiff a top priority.
Actually, they would still be free to criticize him about anything, including the removal of their clearances.
That is exactly what you see in authoritarian regimes.
Like the Marines? There are literally more than 4 million Americans with security clearances.
“Come on, Adam. Give us one example.”
The Military... Federal employees are special.
I just wish that these liars would get a taste of a real authoritarian gov. Somehow I think if they keep up their antics they may.

I do recall some talking heads fantasizing about how wonderful everything would be if Obama really was a dictator. “The Won” certainly tried and had he been competently evil, might have gotten the job done.
Again, Little Schiffy opens his mouth and proves he has no idea how security clearances work. Demaroon.
Youre no longer employed doing too security work, you dont need and should not still have access to sensitive information. Period. End of file. Indeed, thats standard procedure ( or used to be before obama or whatever his real name may be). If you ever are hired to do top- secret work again, theyll then vet you and issue you the appropriate security access. No problem. This is how any sensible security system works. Having a bunch of people running around with access to highly sensitive defense secrets - who dont need that access or that information - is just plain dangerous
As many here are saying...SCHIFF doesn’t relate to the “common man”...the people who have actually worked in places where you LOSE your clearances, privileges, etc when you LEAVE the employment.
Come on Pencil D***..... man up with the true facts.
Talk about your ‘made for GOP’ election ad to show just how OUT of (reality) touch ol’ Schiff-ty has become (if ever IN touch).
But, since even the (R)N(C) hadn’t changed anything to parallel the private sector...
Stupid party ‘wins’ again *SMH*

Excellent point!
The husband watches FAUX News, so I hear bits of it while I am working in the kitchen or FReeping on the ‘puter. I noticed that that jerk Brett Baier used the ‘Rats talking points to introduce this news topic.
He said that Trump was looking to pull security clearance for his “critics”.
They should give these top guys a six-month extension on their security clearance when they retire or step down, so they can offer their experience during the transition to a new team. Then it should end.
Well said!
