Agreed. If Cohen date/time stamped the illicit recordings somehow then they can be cross checked with Trumps travel/cell phone records to see if Trump was physically in Florida at the time of the recording.

IF it can be proven Trump WAS physically in Florida during any of these recordings of then it would open up Cohen to wiretapping/illegal recording charges in both Florida and possibly on the Federal level as well.

Time will tell. Yes, Cohen illicitly recording phone calls with his client Trump without Trumps knowledge or consent does appear unethical for a lawyer to do and should result in Cohen’s disbarment at a minimum.

Where on Earth did he find tapes? I haven’t seen a tape in years.

I just donated a whole box full...all unused. Lots of older people have them, they were left over from when my Mom died in 2015.

Reporting of the tape's contents seemed to contradict the Trump campaign's past denial of any knowledge of such payments to McDougal.

How can there be reports on content when the Special Master is examining the tapes and files? On what authority can media have access to the evidence they took?

One more time, Robert Mueller is not involved in the Cohen case. This is being investigated by the office of U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York.

If Trump/Cohen DIDN’T pay McDouglas anything, then the writer’s blatant attempt at bias is completely crap.

If there is “no payment” then there is no “any knowledge of such payment” except in the mind of the leftist Business Insider hack writer.

Yes. We all know this is about injuring Trump.

So true. I’ve never heard of a raid on an attorney’s office to steal files/tapes of a client who hasn’t been arrested for a crime, let alone one who hasn’t committed a crime.

I’ve never even heard of attorneys’ offices being raided to get cllent files. I thought communication between attorneys and clients were sacrosanct, like anything said to a priest or clergy?

Reminder: the government/DNC has all the files, privileged or not, and has had them all along. The DNC-DOJ had custody of the files for several weeks before a Special Master was appointed and, per the DNC judge’s orders, employed a special team of loyal DOJ career professionals to copy everything into a searchable database so that any material of interest to The Party could be more easily found and distributed.

According to reports at the time, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, a Trump appointee, was recused.

US Attorney, Trump appointee, recused from Michael Cohen investigation

Thanks for the perspective on the custody of confiscated files and change of judge.

Before reading your info, I could not see how that leaks of content could happen. Now it is clear. ComDem fix.

Anything damaging to an America hater will be erased, and blamed on a “glitch.” Anything they can use against Trump will be passed to the media and hyped.
