Appearing at Ozy Fest in New York City, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) said that the “first thing” Democrats should do if they regain the House and Senate after the midterms is “get rid of ICE.”

Speaking to Ana Kasparian, a far-left host of The Young Turks, Gillibrand was asked about how they can made sure that Democrats get things done if they regain control of the House and Senate in the midterms. Kasparian also hilariously whined that Republicans are far less likely to compromise with Democrats — ignoring that her party has made it their policy and platform to block anything that President Trump supports.
“When we flip the House and flip the Senate, I think the first thing we should do is deal with the children who are being separated from their families at the border. I think we should get rid of ICE,” Gillibrand asserted.
The New York senator went on to say that immigration is a civil rights issue, but then referred to it as an “economic engine” and said that it should be viewed as such.
“We should separate out the two missions and do the anti-terrorism mission — the national security mission and then on the other side make sure you’re doing, looking at immigration as a humanitarian issue. These are civil issues. These are families. Look at it as the economic engine that it is,” the senator ranted. “Immigration is our strength. Our diversity is what makes our country and our economy so strong.”
The Democratic Party has been consistently pushing an agenda of abolishing ICE, despite the fact that the majority of Americans have no interest in doing so.

ssshhhh, she is wink wink
Oh please please please keep this up.....
I’ve always told you guys that Gillibrand was a total libtard airhead. This is yet another example of her acute unfitness for the job of Senator. Or even dogcatcher.
I’d like to thank the Democrats for making election commercials much easier than normal.
Wait until they find out that ICE isn’t the agency that separates families at the border.
Most excellent...run on that platform!!!
Well, Silli Gilli has the MS 13 vote locked up.
Freakin’ Idiot.
She is one smart cookie, she and Warren (Pocahontas) should run together.
Next time they get power, the Democrats are going to bring at least 50 million third-world and muslim immigrants into America, and they would like to bring in twice that number.
but if, and i stress IF they ever got near that point, it'll be “we need to abolish ICE AND replace it with a more ‘effective’ organization” (in other words—a larger, more expensive, more controllable puppet org for the DNC)
Translation: “Please notice me, left-wing nuts whom I think I need to win the Democratic primary in 2020.”
Senators rarely win modern Presidential primaries - McCain did and was a disaster. I notice NY Gov Andy Cuomo is also flailing for media attention with kook nutty Left Wing rants as well. This will be fun.
Oh yeah, what a great economic engine...all those poverty stricken illegals who sneak across the border and immediately sign on to the gubmint dole. I truly HATE demonrats and wish them all a rapid death.
I agree entirely. And they should make this a major part of the Democrat platform.

Make campaign video out of this and spread it over the country
If the GOP retains control of Congress, it should get rid of the democRAT Party.
Sure. You do that Gillibrand then watch what happens next. I hope you have an escape plan to get out of the country quick and a “safe space” to go to permanently.
“Ive always told you guys that Gillibrand was a total libtard airhead. This is yet another example of her acute unfitness for the job of Senator. Or even dogcatcher.”
That’s an endorsement in NY.
Just keep talking . . . :D
