It’s not the first time Obama made this mistake.
In an earlier bio Obama wrote that he was from Kenya.

This was not a slip of the tongue, it's just Obama trying to be slick. He deliberately did not use the word "born" in order to give himself some plausible deniability. If someone tries to make an issue of this statement, he will claim that he meant he came from Kenya in the sense that this is where his ancestors came from. He's trying to goad the right into launching another birther argument.

I’m sure that was the meaning of his statement. Obama is not stupid. He would never admit that he was constitutionally unqualified to be president.
But at the same time Obama is rather helpless without a teleprompter. So he says dumb things. I’m surprised that he didn’t say he was president of Kenya.
You might be right.
But they might be able to say in the legislation that the meaning shall comply with the 758 Law of Nations, without directly stating the meaning.
And the likelihood that Congress will fail to enact such legislation is exactly why we need the states pushing for it. It would only take one or two states that were successful in enacting that legislation to throw a huge spotlight on it. A candidate not making the ballot because he is inelligible would be national news. There would be court challenges, etc.
He is going to demand an apology from himself.

President Trump’s mother is Scottish.
Obama might be trying to change the narrative. Obama has won before on the birther issue. He is losing on the spying on opponent’s campaign issue.

President Trump’s mother was a US citizen when she gave birth to President Trump.
Born here of citizen parents.

So I no longer think about Obama, I take comfort in the fact that we now have a real president who loves America and is quickly undoing the damage of those eight years. Now that is a fact that the Obama supporters are NOT dancing with glee over.

He was also born a US citizen as he was born in the US.
Interesting stuff there. And I was (unpleasantly) surprised to see that there have been attempts in Congress to REMOVE the “Natural Born” requirement.

Yes that is correct. She was naturalized well before he was born.
The Kenyans father never was. It is also hard to get around the fact he has a Kenyan BC.
