Everyone now respects our intelligence services. Somehow they have forgiven or forgotten what they felt about them after we invaded Iraq and no weapons of mass destruction were found. As I remember it, back then the media thought that our intelligence agencies were a bunch of war criminals who created false intelligence in order to start a war.

Now they embrace the national security state that spies on everyone with the excuse that they are fighting terrorism. I guess their views have “grown”.
