I thought they were going to jump on black powder front loaders because they can be mail-ordered. Get a brace of ‘51 Navy Sixes if you want some mail-ordered fire power.
My 50 caliber Hawkin Rifle will fire a 320 weight-in-grain Buffalo bullet at 1400 feet per second when 90 grains of old-fashioned black powder is used. But the reload time is over one-minute with conical bullets and a little less for patched balls.
The Gifford’s Group could go after illegal weapons which cross our southern border including grenade launchers. But I guess that doesn’t fit their narrative or their fund-raising appeals.
Another reason for keeping the TC Hawken was I thought, incorrectly it turns out, that they would never try to ban it.
Mail order doesn't worry them. There's credit card and shipping records.
Being able to buy one for cash at a gun show or regular gun store, leaving no paperwork trail -- THAT worries them.
