Yup! How did we ever let the narrative be “democracy” when it is NOT at all. Irritates the crap out of me every time I here it or see it. And, no amount of arguing will cause a lib to admit the fact.

The New England Patriots only won Super Bowl LI because they scored more points than did the Atlanta Falcons.

Perthaps a more exact analogy would be winning a series of games:

The 1960 New York Yankees hold the MLB record for most runs scored in a World Series, with 55 — a total which outscored the opposing Pittsburgh Pirates by 28 runs, also a record. Despite this, the Pirates won the Series, four games to three, on Bill Mazeroski’s famous walk-off home run to win Game 7.

And like Shillary, the Falcons thought they had the thing wrapped up and refused to change their game plan toward the end.

If they'd just run the play clock down in the late 3rd/4th quarter, NE would not have had time to mount a comeback.

If Shillary had actually campaigned in the swing states she might have won.

Worth repeating.

I received email subject “39 second must read” the other day, simplified but effective:

People need to be aware of the reason behind this important feature of our Founding Fathers insight!!!! With infinite wisdom, the United States’ Founders created the Electoral College to ensure the STATES were fairly represented. Why should one or two densely populated areas speak for the whole of the nation? The following list of statistics has been making the rounds on the Internet. It should finally put an end to the argument as to why the Electoral College makes sense. Do share this. It needs to be widely known and understood.
There are 3,141 counties in the United States.
Trump won 3,084 of them.
Clinton won 57.
There are 62 counties in New York State.
Trump won 46 of them.
Clinton won 16.
Clinton won the popular vote by approx. 1.5 million votes.
In the 5 counties that encompass NYC, (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Richmond & Queens) Clinton received well over 2 million more votes than Trump. (Clinton only won 4 of these counties; Trump won Richmond)
Therefore these 5 counties alone, more than accounted for Clinton winning the popular vote of the entire country.
These 5 counties comprise 319 square miles.
The United States is comprised of 3,797,000 square miles.
When you have a country that encompasses almost 4 million square miles of territory, it would be ludicrous to even suggest that the vote of those who inhabit a mere 319 square miles should dictate the outcome of a national election.
Large, densely populated Democrat cities (NYC, Chicago, LA, etc.) DO NOT and SHOULD NOT speak for the rest of our country!
And...it’s been verified and documented that those aforementioned 319 square miles are where the majority of our nation’s problems foment
Well worth the 39 seconds to read? Now please pass it!

When you are playing Pinochle, you don't use Poker rules. Trump ran the campaign for electors, as per the rules. Mrs. Clinton ran it for collecting money and rolling up a big vote total in states she already had, like California.

To use Pinochle lingo, she wasted her trumps on low-count tricks. The president knows how to play Trumps.

You are so correct you should be sainted. The electoral college was put in to stop the possible centralizing of votes like could have happened in this election.

We have the same problem in Washington state. King county has so many people in it that it over votes the rest of the state. And as they are ultra-liberal, that is the summation of the laws and taxes we have up here. As we don’t have the electoral college, or anything like it in the state, we are trapped into accepting the votes of them and their representatives. Hence the reason we are 26th in money generation in the nation, but the fifth highest taxed. (For people things a vast majority of the citizenry doesn’t receive)

Given that her entire "popular vote win" was due to a handful of deep-blue counties in southern California where voter scrutiny is questionable, no doubt future historians will agree.

The whole basis for the left's derangement is that they knew they had the vote rigged and were livid to discover that somehow Trump won anyway, so they assume that they were "out cheated" rather than that the vote was "unrigged". The unrigging of the vote was in fact the counter-coup that they never saw coming.

Facts are already proving that about six million votes (for Clinton) were cast by non-citizen, illegal immigrants in the 2016 POTUS election. As such Trump should have been awarded victory in both Nevada and Minnesota, at least. Case closed.

“Trump only won the presidential election in 2016 because of the Electoral College.”
That is correct.
As did Obama before him Bush before Obama Clinton before Bush and so on and son.
We elect a President ever 4 years We do not hold a beauty contest or a popularity contest. No harder to understand then that!

Can you imagine what it would be like if the leftists at Vox had an IQ over 75?

I bet they would discover grass is green and the sky is blue. Once they reached 80 they could start making out the shapes in clouds.

That blue swath through the deep south basically follows the black belt.
So-called for the dark, rich soil where cotton was once king!

You can figure out the rest for yourself.
