After the re-worked Minis and Fiat 500 I’ve been wondering who was gonna do the Duck (2CV4).

It is the Citroen DS. Very innovative. YouTube has lots of videos that show off its unique features. I don’t think there has been any car quite like it.

Went I went to Germany from Vietnam, I bought a Peugeot. It was comfortable, handled well, had lots of room. Good price. Then the Dentist’s Peugeot caught on fire in the parking lot, while he was working on a patient. I sold the Peugeot and bought a Lotus.

I always liked the look of Lotus designs (and TVR), but since I became a Top Gear fan, I can’t help but think of Jeremy Clarkson’s remark that LOTUS stood for, “Lots of trouble, usually serious.” :-)

Interesting you mentioned Buick handled Opel.

My local Buick dealer handled both Opel and MG so I had a chance to compare both rather easily. I kinda leaned to the rag top and went with the MG...and got to know the Service Manager on a first name basis.

Clarkson is correct, that certainly was my experience, but I could outrun everything on the road except on the Autobahn where the 130hp engine could not keep up with the Porsches, Beemers, Jags.

I would give one of my man berries to have another ‘63 Opel Kadett.

I had a 1963 opel and drove it across the mountain back to school in Raleigh. There was a long grade going into Boone and the car would barely make 45 miles an hour in second gear. There were times I wsn’t sure it would make it up the mountain.

The good thing about it was a blue hi beam indicator light

Even at gunpoint, I wouldn’t own or drive any of those three POSs.

I barely have any recollection at all of French cars. I think they were biodegradable.
