Same here. I will get a coffee occasionally and do crosswords or read. Plus, a local McDonald’s generally DOES NOT play music and when it does it is not at excessive volumes. It seems many public places such as fast food joints, restaurants and supermarkets, etc. have to indulge us with contemporary bad music. Why?!

There's actually a reason for the loud music in fast food joints - they want you to eat and leave quickly.

For supermarkets, they want to cloud your judgement
