Mom-n-law still lives in our garage apartment so it’s quite possible she’ll be there.
Dang! You planted a LOT of different yummies! Gonna be some GOOD eatin’ ahead!
See ya at harvest time! ;-)
Looks like neither of us was paying attention at all. LOL
Here is one corner where you can see the monster squash plant [with monster yellow blooms], his feathery asparagus plants, plus a mimosa tree, a fig tree that is having a bumper crop [hubby made fig butter]!, a crepe myrtle, a small wisteria, honeysuckle up the side fence, and, amongst the already-bloomed daisies, surprise lilies that really were a surprise this year.
Some parts of the yard aren't that lush looking, but he's working on it. I have a black thumb, so I stay away from plants. LOL!
Madness, indeed!!!!!!!!!
I am a skywatcher
Mmmmmmmmm! Love those baked with butter and cinnamon!
Never did figure out why they barked. Could have been a bug on their back porch. They’re brainless. LOL!
I don’t know about you, but I’ve just about reached my saturation point for hot weather. I can’t WAIT for September to feel a chill in the air in WY! LOL! Our son taunts me with their coolness all the time. Mean thing! :)
Wow, he’s planted a lot of stuff in that corner of the yard. The water bill must hurt each month. Ouch!
I’m a skywatcher too. Dad got me started when I was a little kid and the fascination is still there.
We had clear skies for a short time last night and when I went to the pump house to find out why we didn’t have water, I noticed Mars was really bright. Tried to check it out with the telescope but the humidity was so high, it was too hazy to see it clearly.
LOL! They sound like our cats. I’ll see a couple of them looking intently out the kitchen window and wonder if a possum or armadillo is at the back porch. When I look, there’s a darn bug on the windowsill outside.
I’m with ya on reaching the saturation point! I’m not usually ready for fall this early but I’m sure ready for it this year.
It darn sure does. it was over $265 last month...more than all our other bills combined...nearly. But I don’t complain, because I couldn’t live here with a dead lawn. It would just be too depressing.
HOLY COW!!!!!! That’s insane!
Too bad you ended up in the desert where it costs so much to have greenery around you.
Well, that’s one reason I’m so desperate for it to rain! My pocketbook! Ugh!
Your Kindness is Colorful
You enjoy relaxation and quiet. You don’t have a need to make things exciting.
Building real and deep relationships matters to you. You are a person of substance looking for others of substance.
You are peace-seeking and even a bit of a hippie deep down. It hurts your heart to fight.
You can bring stability and support to the lives of others. You can be counted on.
Understandable! That’s the kind of water bill one would see at a restaurant, not a home.
That description nailed you to a T! Thanks for taking the quiz!
Here is the response I got:
"Your Drive is Colorful" |
You are hard working. You are industrious with an amazing work ethic. You have strong opinions about the way things should be done. You are very competent. You can accomplish almost anything you put your mind to. Slow and steady wins the race! |
Howdy, E.G.C.
There seems to be a colorful crowd in the Canteen, so many of us got that answer. :-)
How’s it going over your way? Has it been comfortable enough to enjoy going to the lake or has it been hot enough it seems like more of an ordeal?
I checked the radar a little while ago to see if there was any rain in our near future and saw y’all have a big batch of ugly moving through part of the state. Hope it doesn’t get too rough if it reaches your area.
Aw, why not?
:-)
