President Trump offended the entire political spectrum with a tweet this morning blaming the U.S. for poor relations with Russia. Our relationship with Russia has NEVER been worse thanks to many years of U.S. foolishness and stupidity, the president said, and he is entirely correct. By this I do not mean to say that Russia is a beneficent actor in world affairs or that President Putin is an admirable world leader. Nonetheless, the president displayed both perspicacity and political courage when he pointed the finger at the United States for mismanaging the relationship with Russia.
Full disclosure: I was a card-carrying member of the neoconservative cabal that planned to bring Western-style democracy and free markets to Russia after the fall of Communism. As chief economist for the supply-side consulting firm Polyconomics, I got an appointment as an adviser to Boris Yeltsins finance ministry and made several trips to Moscow. Of course, the finance ministry really was a family office for Yeltsins oligarch friends, who were too busy stealing Russias economy to listen to advice. The experience cured me of the neoconservative delusion that democracy and free markets are the natural order of things.
Unfortunately, the delusion that the United States would remake Russia in its own image persisted through the Bush and Obama administrations. I have no reason to doubt the allegations that a dozen Russian intelligence officers meddled in the U.S. elections of 2016, but this was equivalent of a fraternity prank compared to Americas longstanding efforts to intervene in Russian politics.
The United States supported the 2014 Maidan uprising in Ukraine and the overthrow of the Yanukovych government in the hope of repeating the exercise in Moscow sometime later.

The left is at least three moves behind in their Trump chess match. Potzers all.
This piece represents a remarkable POV. It contains some accurate points but its overall thesis is so outrageous and contrary to popular American thought that it will take some to sink in and evaluate.
You magnificent b***ard!

“Once Again, President Trump Is Magnificently RightThis Time About Russia”
It's been a fascinating few years you could say since 9/11 you know how many Americans now work in intelligence? I don't know. Over 200,000 in 16 different agency's with 30,000 private contractors in 170 countries at a grand cost to the taxpayers of 75 billion dollars a year and they still call it the intelligence community, I don't think so...

And they still call it the intelligence community, I don't think so...
The collusion, when Russian intelligence gave intel to the FBI about the Boston Marathon bombers, and we know the results, none.

Bombshell Report on the DNC Hack by Forensic Experts Claims It Was an Inside Job, Not the Russians
Sorry about the double post of Trump in a really good mood. :)
That could be Stephen F. Cohen's influence.
He's married to Katrina vanden Heuvel, the editor/publisher of the Nation.
He's a Russia expert from NYU and Princeton, and he's regularly on the John Batchelor show (WABC) expressing dismay at the demonization of Trump and Russia that he thinks is igniting a new and dangerous Cold War.
What is better for America, a constructive relationship with Russia or another Cold War with Russia?
I guess they think POTUS Trump undid the wonderful progress made by Hillary’s Reset Button and Obama’s being more “flexible” after the 2012 Election in reducing our Anti Ballistic Missile presence in Europe.
Bump!
Ive seen no reason to believe the whole Russian Meddling fiasco is nothing but an American Political Establishment false flag against an American Patriot.
Finally, a voice of reason — besie’s the President’s on this issue. I don’t believe there was Russian hacking — certainly, not of Hitlery. The Russians were getting what they wanted from her. Why should trhet hack her?
Goldman is great.
Trump just lanced a boil, and it’s going to be a little messy for a few days.
The boil was that BIG FAT LIE about Russia hacking the DNC and Podesta. This was a LIE by Brennan, Comey and Clapper—all TRAITORS. The normal politicians are far too frightened of the IC to call them out!
PDJT apparently knows no fear.
My only disappointment is with the FoxNews commentators and some dimwits on talk radio who seem to be running with the GOPe/RAT line. (But Rush was good.)
President Trump will be 100% vindicated—AGAIN.
He started the mantra: “Where are the servers?” (referring to DNC and Awan servers). These will prove the key.
Trump did great.
