No, the communist government in Russia is our enemy, as is any totalitarian government. Russians that come to America and gain citizenship are some of the hardest working, patriotic people in this country today, specifically because they have lived under the thumb of tyranny. The Russian people are longing to be free, and a sizable percentage of them would give up everything for the chance to become Americans.

My wife was born in Moscow, and emigrated 25 years ago when her father gave up what was a "good" life in Russia to bring his family here. This last 4th of July I was at a picnic with the family and friends, and gave a toast that as a 13th generation American, I had it easy, because my citizenship was automatic. Everyone else at the party (there were 12 who were born in Russia) left jobs, family and friends behind while following our laws to come to America legally. They struggled to learn our language, and took jobs at a much lower station in life than what they left behind (a doctor and a nurse now own a grocery store; the head of a chain of stores now is a clerk in a small retail store). Each one did what was necessary to become a proud US Citizen, and I was humbled to be part of the family. They were playing patriotic American songs while we barbequed, and quite frankly, it was as, if not more, patriotic than the annual Republican picnic in my area.

Todays generation forgets that we are a nation founded by immigrants......

The true native americans are the Indian tribes who were here before the Europeans arrived in the new land....

Agree with your commentary re todays immigrants. Good people who wanted a change in life.....

Max Boot is a Russian who came to America to gain citizenship, and he's a flaming @sshole who is nothing more than a paid shill for globalists in our own government.
