President Trump included the European Union when rattling off a list of the “biggest foes” of the United States throughout the world.
The “CBS Evening News” published the interview with Trump from his golf club in Turnberry, Scotland, on Sunday morning. Alongside Russia and China, Trump mentioned the EU, which includes several of the oldest, closest allies of the United States, when asked about the country’s global foes.
“Well, I think we have a lot of foes. I think the European Union is a foe, what they do to us in trade. Now, you wouldn’t think of the European Union, but they’re a foe. Russia’s a foe in certain respects. China’s a foe economically, certainly they are a foe. But that doesn’t mean they are bad. It doesn’t mean anything. It means that they’re competitors,” Trump told CBS anchor Jeff Glor on Sunday. “They want to do well, and we want to do well.”

Absolutely!! And back in the day the British were all for the EU and making plans for the EU Army to challenge the US. The EU was not to be only for the economies for member states, the EU had plans of “taking a the US down a few pegs.”
The EU decided it could compete with us if they could operate like our STATES instead of like a group of individual COUNTRIES.
They got the Shengen agreements to allow border crossings as if you were going State to State instead of Country to Country. This setup played into the hands of the invading Muslims. Tom

By European Union I take it to mean those despots in Brussels and not individual European allies.

I didn’t assert anything about the EU.
They obviously never took History 101.
The entire premise of the EU was to unite so that they would be an economic foe to the United States. The US was too powerful an entity military and economically to challenge individually, so the nations united against their common "foe", the United States.
When the Euro emerged as a currency, it was worth about 80 cents to the US Dollar. Within a very short time, the currency was "worth" close to $1.50. This was all calculated by the global elite as an attack on the power of the US Dollar.
I lived in Europe at the time of conversion to the Euro - and it was a TERRIBLE deal for many when it first emerged. Things that used to cost 10 Deutschmarks now cost 10 Euros. That happened with EVERYTHING - from bread to clothes.
President Trump is only stating the obvious.

And I agree with the brilliant Amir Tsarfati - that the EU is the future (perhaps soon) seat of power of the Biblical Antichrist.
And I believe Satan’s man with the plan is some type of “young prince” waiting for the hour when the Church is finally gone.

During the Obama years, I was pretty certain that the political, economic, and social culture was breaking down so fast that the signs pointing to the Rapture were very clear.
I think that with Trump, we may have a brief reprieve - however, the Rapture can still occur at any time.
When you see how insane and wicked the rest of the world has become, and how the outright HATRED of Trump, HATRED of Biblical values, and HATRED of Christians is being manifested, then I think that points to the fact that the Rapture may still be very close.
Look at this picture. It was taken just a couple of days ago in London. They were part of the "Carnival of Resistance" of "protest" against President Trump.
These people are not only openly Satanic, but Satan worship today has become global, and even mainstream.
God will not be mocked.

Good emphasis on “may”. Nevertheless, I must also note that the President is talking “peace and security” in relation to dividing Israel. As all the political talking heads have done for years. As we know, this is exactly what Scripture foretells happening in the Last Days.
It is my belief, and I pray that I am not incorrect, that the President is perhaps naive on this issue. I just had this discussion with someone.
However it is going to happen, and it IS going to happen, I would pray the President be informed on this very important issue. It’s more important than the world realizes.
Because THE “peace deal” will change the world forever. And it will result in THE Second Coming.
I do not pretend to suggest delaying or stopping it. But I pray it is not accelerated.

I was commenting on how the President’s remarks are taken out of context. Liberals hear “European Union” and they swoon with ardor. If the word socialist was added, well...then. I hear it and think “Bunch of useless busy bodies in Brussels.” I had not meant it to be a question.
