Memphis will send a black, don’t know how a Cohen got elected in the first place.

He is gone in the primary.

Primary is in roughly three weeks. From what I see....two opponents on the Dem primary: Kasandra Smith and Isaac Richmond. Both are black. Richmond has some known status but never won a election/primary. Hard to say if either have funding necessary to overcome Cohen.

He used the Strzok defense, “I may have said (texted) that, but I did not really mean it”.

Could he possibly lose the primary?
Even that is a long shot, I suppose.
Isaac Richmond and Kasandra Lee Smith are running against him.

“...He REGRETS that it will cost him his seat in Congress.”

No, he’ll be SORRY it cost him his seat in Congress. Hopefully, increasingly so.

The new approach now is the left spews vile ridiculous comments and then apologizes and all is forgiven, but the message got to its intended target

“Actually I was thinking he needed a quick trial and a good hanging.” Actually, I was thinking you got it backward, heh heh. When it comes to Democrats and Never Trumpers, I say hang’em all and let God sort out the innocent if there should happen to be any. Speaking metaphorically of course 😇....

Oh because they like unemployment? He’s their congressman he’s been there a while their unemployment keeps getting worse or is bad why do they keep putting him back in the office?

At the peak, 2009...Memphis was doing 12-percent unemployment. By the end of the Obama era...it had gone down to about six-percent unemployment. A lot of this story revolves around the 2008-downward trend in the economy, and how Memphis lingered.

So the next part of this story....from Trump day-one, they are down to 4.1-percent unemployment. The rest of the state? Well....that’s interesting because eastern Tennessee is a full point less on unemployment (Knoxville for example....is near 3.1-percent.

In this case as well...it’s a very well constructed district for a Democrat to easily win. As long as the party endorses you....you likely take 60 to 70 percent of the November vote. Zero chance a GOP can win and I wouldn’t even waste any money here. Of course, I would ask....why can’t a black candidate displace this guy?

Too bad. You’re in the Congressional record now for all your future kin to see or read how you backed a traitor to the country you lived and prospered in.

> I used it metaphorically, not literally.

A liberal who knows the difference. He should teach CNN/ABC/CBS/NBC/MSNBC and anyone else he knows what the difference is before Trump’s next rally. It could save them some embarrassment from “fact checking” another joke.

I suspect that his office got a call or two (to say the least), from people who actually took some lead for the country.

“If he can’t control his mouth any better than that, he’s unworthy of being in Congress.”

If controlling one’s mouth were a requirement for being in Congress, wouldn’t that be a hoot? Tiny Congress. :)

It would give me great satisfaction to hear that when Mr. Cohen is up for reelection he gets primaried and defeated by a true patriot, with a brain and a spine and a pair of cohones.

We’re in eastern TN, and when we moved here we were told there are “three distinct Tennessees” — eastern, middle, and western. I know we’re patriotic in the east where Sgt. York is from. I know middle gave us patriots like Andrew Jackson. I don’t know much about western, though, but have heard Memphis is a hot mess of liberalism. I hope he does lose his seat over this, though. Maybe some decent voters will take care of the problem.

For some enjoyment, go to his facebook page. People are not holding back telling him what they think of his disgraceful comments.
