Russian Hackers Kept DNC Backdoor Longer Than Anyone Knew
Daily Beast ^ | 7/13/18 | KEVIN POULSEN

**SNIP**

Today’s indictment confirms every aspect of the DNC’s and Crowdstrike’s account, with one exception. Both the DNC and Crowdstrike have said repeatedly that they went public only after expelling all the Russian hackers.

But buried in the new indictment is language suggesting that Crowdstrike missed a spot, and one computer infected with the GRU’s malware “remained on the DNC network until in or around October 2016.”

If Mueller’s right, it raises the possibility that the Russians gathered months and months of additional intelligence on the DNC—right as the campaign was in its final, most important stretch. The hackers may have even had a front row seat on the DNC’s network that July, when Wikileaks published the hacked emails and the DNC was thrown into upheaval.

They used the worker’s password to breach the DNC, where they were quickly siphoning gigabytes of stolen data over X-Tunnel to a leased server in Illinois.

Another question: almost one year ago, a group called Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity published a report, mentioned in most media, that their studies of the hack, due mainly to download speeds, indicated it was an inside job

Again - Do we believe Mueller??

I don't recall that anyone knew that there even was a "DNC Backdoor," since the DNC didn't cooperate in any sort of official investigation of infiltration of their servers.

Indeed - so how does Mueller know there was a "backdoor?" Has some 3rd party examined the DNC servers since??

Maybe they can help us find the server.

DNC was never secured until the hacks. That was what astounded the security company they hired.

No surprise.

Too many bad actors and electronic trails in the mix.

Accepting that all this is true, it is trivial compared to the real problem it indicates. That is security on this side. Foreigners, Russians, Chinese, Belgians, everybody with some tech savvy is out there hacking into everybody else’s computers. We probably do it better and than anyone else just because we have more resources by a large multiple. Security of systems is the problem. The Democrats had and likely still have an entitled attitude and thus only minimal security. There are surely Democrat computers with PASSWORD or 12345 as passwords out there. Wailing about the Russians or the Chinese or the Samoans does not help things even a teensy bit or end any of the “hacking.” Make your own systems secure.

And to think- all this could have been avoided had the DNC just turned their servers over to the FBI when they were warned about hacking - the RNC did and they’re fine - sometimes victims deserve to be victims......

Has it occurred to anyone that the Russians, along with the Democrat/Communist Party USA, believed Hillary had the election won and the Russians were just gathering evidence from her server and the DNC server in order to blackmail and control her after she became president.

this whole thing is complete bullshit and Rodenstein should be fired forthwith ... the FBI was never allowed to examine the supposedly hacked DNC servers; only CrowdStrike examined them, and this whole phony-balony case is based solely on what CrowdStrike told the FBI ...

Furthermore, when has the FBI EVER indicted foreign national spies who’ve never touched down on U.S. soil? And why indict just these spies? Why not indict the entire Russian GRU and and FSB apparatus while they’re at it? And why just Russia? Why not indict the entire foreign intelligence services of ALL of our enemies?

This whole thing is such a farce it’s hard to contemplate they’re even doing it ... the only reason they’re trying to pull this off is that the FBI/DoJ treasonous cabal believes the American people are too stupid and ignorant to realize how ludicrous these fake indictments are ...

Indictments need not provide any evidence or proof. That must be provided in court at trial. But there will never be a trial for any of these indicted and Mueller knows that. It’s purely political.

Case in point...? Indict the proverbial "Ham Sandwich" then never have to prosecute because it was already eaten???

And the “malware” had “Russian” IP that was shut down in 2015 so it really didn’t matter. Crowdstrike is quite the fraud, now playing the Court’s as fools.

All this fuss about the DNC server, yet not one word on Hillary’s server (which we know as fact was accessed by several foreign entities).

Should we trust VIPS, knowing it was wrapped up in the Valerie Plame affair boosting Joe Wilson [a Hillary Clinton email-for-favors guy who knew she had a non gov server] and is associated with Code Pink and RevCom?

The FBI, DOJ and CIA are a HAND FULL of un-elected men and woman who get up every day same as you and I, but then go to work to destroy America as founded.

Stand outside the DOJ in D.C.

It’s a pathetic piece of granite.

A few stories high.

Inside are the men and women who hate America.

Over at the FBI, the same.

Leadership sets the tone.

If you’re FBI and DOJ, you hate the president. Period.

If you don’t, you’re on the way out. Group think.

How can the Obama / Hillary / Russia conspiracy succeed?

It can’t.

Buckle up.
