Yes, you WOULD shed many a tear, if you went back to London today; so would I...which is why I’m not ever going back. My memories are almost sacred and I refuse to have them tainted.
I feel much the same way - especially about London, where I spent so many pleasant, memorable days.
My wife and I have long wanted to celebrate our upcoming 25th anniversary in Scotland, but the whole culture in the UK has changed so much, I'm not sure that will happen now.
