This 1937 RKO movie musical teamed Jerome with Oscar Hammerstein again, and it was an attempt to recapture the magic – and the financial success – of “Show Boat.” It bombed and is mercifully forgotten today.
“CAN I FORGET YOU?”
America’s favorite baritone crooner tackled this song shortly after the movie came out. It’s a fine version.
