If I were Gowdy (and I don’t play him on TV), I’d continuously interrupt these posing Demwits with “Objection your honor, counsel is leading the witness” until Goodlatte either stops him or states, “Overruled. Continue counselor.”
It would make for some fine Perry Mason theatrics.
