What is Rosenstein up to now?
And where is AG Sessions??
In an unusual request, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein asked federal prosecutors to help review documents of President Trumps SCOTUS nominee, Brett Kavanaugh.
Rosensteins email subject line sent to 93 US Attorneyd read, Personal Message to U.S. Attorneys From the Deputy A.G., and included the sentence, We need your help in connection with President Trumps nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to serve on the Supreme Court.
The New York Times reported:
Rod J. Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general, has asked federal prosecutors to help review the government documents of Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh, President Trumps Supreme Court nominee, according to a letter obtained by The New York Times on Wednesday.
Mr. Rosensteins request was an unusual insertion of politics into federal law enforcement. While the Justice Department has helped work on previous Supreme Court nominations, department lawyers in Washington typically carry out that task, not prosecutors who pursue criminal investigations nationwide.
But in an email sent this week to the nations 93 United States attorneys, Mr. Rosenstein asked each office to provide up to three federal prosecutors who can make this important project a priority for the next several weeks. Names were to be submitted to Mr. Rosensteins office by the end of Wednesday.
Mr. Rosensteins email, which had the subject line Personal Message to U.S. Attorneys From the Deputy A.G., included the sentence, We need your help in connection with President Trumps nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to serve on the Supreme Court.
According to Christopher Hunter, a former FBI agent and federal prosecutor, Its flat-out wrong to have career federal prosecutors engaged in a political process like the vetting of a Supreme Court nominee...

I think Trump and Sessions are trying to find a way to keep Obama holdovers in Main Justice from sabotaging things by dragging their feet on document production for the Kavanaugh nomination. They don’t want to let the holdovers and the dems delay things until after the election.
The only body with any jurisdiction to investigate a court nominee is the US. Senate. This is another reason to fire Rosenstein.
Sheriff David Clarke for Attorney General.
It’s a new ‘Meuller’ probe. Trump needs to get on this. For God’s sake Sessions.... this has nothing to do with Russia. Why is this going to anybody but Sessions?
Nailed it.
All Sessions has to do is click “Reply all” and say “belay that request”.
Overtly working for the demi-rats and no one has anything to say??????????
Rosenstein’s likely motive in his is to get sympathy from the media.
Because he’s panicking.
THE SWAMP IS DEEP. THE SWAMP IS WIDE.
Looks like the Deep State is using Ronnie Earle’s playbook.
One thing I heard was that Democrat Senators and staff had declared an all out attempt to swamp the process by requesting hundreds of thousands of documents, literally everything that the nominee had touched in 25 years with government.
As no comment has come out of Trump referring to this, is that an attempt to put an unlimited staff on hand to produce anything and everything that missing can be used as a stall to the hearings?
Sessions.. MIA
Our gubamint is more dysfunctional than the Kardashians.
Remember who it is that is complaining here about the DOJ bringing in more people from the US Attorneys’ offices to get the document production done faster:
“The New York Times reported”
In six years expect 4,000 pages fully redacted.
Who ius going to 'review' the reviewers?
You Know The Drill Click the Pic |
Looking for any reason to attack, ruin, even destroy.
Not to mention that such a request means that our professional politicians have not been paying any notice to the federal courts, judges, cases, etc.....IOW, We have not been doing our jobs for 25 years so could you please tell us what you have been doing while we ignored our jobs?
I don’t think Sessions is capable of ‘clicking’ on anything.
