Fired for putting hands on a customer.
Is a thief considered a customer?
More concern about the thief suing. And if this occurred in New York, the liberal judge would have let the perp loose in the criminal case because the employee touched him, thus violating the criminal’s civil rights.
Academy Sports is being a a** instead of looking at each incident case to case instead of this zero policy crap. The manger probably stopped a violent crime from being committed from the perpetrator. If the guy did use the gun in a crime, the victims family would have sued Academy Sports of negligence letting the guy walked out the door with it and no one stopped him other then waiting on police to show up
Stealing a gun is a good way to get shot.
These caveats are contained in insurance policies. No running after or apprehending thieves.
There needs to be laws against that type of firing. Laws like that aren’t socialistic.
exactly. Perhaps Academy doesn’t want to sully their relationship with thieves.
“Fired for putting hands on a customer.”
Back when America mas still America the guy would have been chiided and teased for not beating the living ,democrat out of the thief.
Hey, occupying a seat without ordering anything is considered a customer. Just ask Starbucks. Remember, the customer is always right.
The manager is a hero for stopping that thug from killing an untold number of people. The thug had already stolen two other guns from a pawn shop that day. Who knows how many other stolen weapons he had stocked up. Stolen guns, ammo and a backpack sounds like he had definite plans and it wasn't scones and tea. Is he a muzzy?
