Oh boy.....I’m not sure I could handle that heat if I moved south some day. People keep asking where I would go if I left Alaska. I don’t know. My sister is in California, as are her kids and grandkids...NO WAY!! Brother and Ashlie are in the Houston area of Texas...too much humidity? Not Georgia. Virginia, maybe? Or just stay here. d:o)

I have no clue what the humidity is like around the Houston area. It might be more humid than the western, desert part of the state but it would probably feel dry to those of us who live in the southeast. Still pretty hot, though, especially to folks who have lived up north for years like you have.

This area’s pretty tough on those of us who have lived here for years. Really tough for northerners who come down. When Ms. Feather visited us several years ago, she had a tough time if we went outside for any length of time. Heck, I do and I was born here! LOL!

It can get a little warm in Virginia as I recall. I spent a summer there back in the early ‘70s, at Norfolk. it wasn’t as hot there as here but still hotter than the 70s you’ve had recently. But that’s what A/C is for. :-)

A neighbor kid (Seattle area) said he was moving down to Georgia to be with his girlfriend that moved down there for work and then college. Other neighbors told him to forget it - you won’t last down there between the heat and humidity.

He lasted about two weeks! He’s back here home again. I have no idea how the relationship is going. But I’m guessing probably not well. “I love you soooo much. But it really is hot and humid here. So, uhm, well....”
