Why? Who doesn't have credit card debt? That he has it is a big yawn. The question comes as to if he is paying on time? Consider, too, that he is buying his own and presumably family tickets whereas the FBI/DOJ, Dems, and most politicians let others do so for them.

Besides, no one is touting him as rich, so seeing proof that he has bills like the rest of us is perfectly fine with me.

They may find out a porn star bedded him.

Don’t underestimate liberals; they’re totally vicious and will trash Kavanaugh with everything they’ve got in their arsenal.

By the time they’re through, no one is gonna vote for the guy.

You just wait and watch.

Well unless he filed bankruptcy or had his home foreclosed I don’t get why this is relevant. There are moral issues attached to bothe of these types events SOMETIMES. Sheesh what he heck is their problem

“If you’re a senior Federal judge and have only a few thousand in savings, perhaps you should consider putting some money in the bank every month.”

I agree with you overall ... I’m a saver. However, these judges get pretty good pensions. That probably explains the behavior. Quite frankly, if I was looking at a solid pension, I’d probably spend a little more and enjoy life now vs. waiting until retirement.

I use my CC for everything. I pay it off at the end of the month though (no exceptions). There are many perks/discounts/points/cash back offers when you do this, but they’re all for naught if you don’t pay the balance off on time every time! :-).

If there was a discount for using cash these days, I’d certainly go that route (there are some cases, but they’re few and far in between these days) ... this is the next best thing.

So he charged about 20k a year? And this is news??????

I'll never be vetted for the SCOTUS but I've charged $0.00 for the past 35 years.

Newsworthy...last cash customer standing.

Here’s the source story:

He and his wife make about 300k a year and their home is worth well over a million. The debt is in a range of 60k to 200k. It’s not a big deal.

That’s what I thought ...$20K per year. And if he made a monthly payment of $1,666.00 ahead of closing date, he save money on interest?

And here I’d suggested that he maybe owned a boat, or as one fellow put it a hole in the water into which money is thrown?

So I’m guessing this means he’ll recuse himself from cases involving the Nationals or local home repair outfits?

He did it for the airline points. Smart thinking.

That’s exactly what I do. Do it the right way, and you can fly internationally in business or first class a couple of times a year

For the Nationals?
Shows bad judgement.
Now the Yankees, it’s worth it.

I hear his net worth may be under or around 100k. How long has he been around DC and didn’t cash in like the rest of the Deep Staters? An honest guy.

Yep. $1,666.66/month, over ten years. But put that way, it doesn’t have any shock value. Especially if he paid it back, on time. BUT $200,000 IN DEBT!! (Over 10 years)......the Lefty Low Info Voters will be VERY UPSET!!
