I wonder how much of that behaviour you mention is due to ratio of male to female hormones in each person during gestation and maturation phases of their lives. Would be a politically incorrect study and would need to be done in such a way that “spiking” the results wouldnt occur.

Interesting point. In my day there were tomboys and sissys. In cases I observed (as a child) I saw overnurturing by a doting mother, and a father too busy with work to notice. Add in hormonal imbalance and trouble will follow. Many of the tomboys grew out of it. The sissys didn’t.
You made a great point & no doubt that needs to be researched but I doubt it since it would break the thought “they were born that way”.
I know this is far fetch to say BUT what if a transgender child was meant to be a twin but the other twin never developed. What remains of that twin like hormones or such.
For example a boy that feels he is a she. Perhaps is feeling his twin sister that never grew. Just a thought
