NATO is simply a mechanism for the U.S. to maintain a permanent military presence in Europe. It’s not there to defend against anything.

Pretty sure they were waiting in Tbilisi for Russian tanks, however. And that was why they didn’t keep going to Tbilisi.

So I give NATO credit for that.

Well, if that’s true, why is Trump trying to “wreck” it? Furthermore, why would we want to do that? Personally, I thing it’s simply political hardening of the arteries that prevents us, until now, from taking an objective look at the mission of NATO and it’s cost to us.
