Lisa Page, the former anti-Trump FBI lawyer who was briefly part of special counsel Robert Mueller’s team, will not attend a Congressional hearing for which she had been subpoenaed, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte confirmed late Tuesday.

Ms. Page was scheduled to testify on Wednesday before the House Judiciary and Oversight and Government Reform committees.

The problem is, the good guys are weak. They are not up to the fight. They are content to lob words, posture, and pontificate — from a distance. They don’t want to step into the ring and slug it out. And that’s what it takes to win.

I think the few good guys in Congress are doing all they can. It's the GOP leadership and the many RINO's who support the leadership, who are preventing a contempt vote and the subsequent enforcement of a contempt vote..

I agree. Could very well be the tactics in use, but this dragging on is tearing our country apart.

Rush knows perfectly well. He just has a habit of playing with names

Yes, he does, but I can tell when he's bastardizing someone's name for fun, and when he's truly at a loss as to proper pronunciation.

I think Strzok (sterzok) is one of those names that stumped him at first, but then he twisted into a daily ridicule because the guy just stinks on ice.

Unfortunately you are completely correct.

Fascinating how many people in this forum still believe that any of these traitorous scum will be held to account in even the most minor way.

Looks like “not”, judging from the numbers of people who thumb their noses at subpoenas, with impunity. Nothing ever happens to them (unless it’s a Republican who jaywalked or something). It doesn’t have to be this way, but Congress won’t do its job with the full force of law which it has as a tool.

A stern letter should be plenty.

Yes, I’m curious about this strange immunity they seem to have to being compelled to follow the law, unlike most other people. It’s almost like they think they’re illegal aliens or something.

What difference, at this point, does it make?

Why does anyone care that the interminable Congressional Kabuki Theater play is one act shorter?

Lock her ass up in solitary until she “flips” on Comey, McCabe and Rosenstein. Isn’t that the way it works up there in the swamp?

Why should she testify? There’s no ramifications to telling the committee to “shove it”.

Indeed.

Page already flipped no later then discovering McCabe tossed her under the bus.

She flipped and is afraid of the glare. She’s seen plenty already and is very scared. That’s all this is. For women, public humiliation is a sentence often worse than death.

She’s not like Peter Strzok. He sees this as a game he’ll escape.
