I was not born a constitutionalist. I did not live my life with an inherent understanding of liberty and what is necessary to defend it. I was not raised a Christian.
For some, these things will be a stumbling block, so you need to know from me.
I was raised a Democrat. The only thing more evil than Satan was a Republican in my home. There were no choices to be made in voting
straight Democrat Party line was the only choice.

It’s what....100 #walkaway democrats going GOP, to each one #walkaway Republican going Democrat?
Isn’t Senator Flake from Arizona going to do a #walkaway video as well?
I like how she calls it the Democrat party.
You go, girl.
Amen...
I just want Flake to walk away, period. Go already, you waist of a perfectly drab suit jacket.
When truth is the enemy or the cause of a hostile response, you know for sure that someone is afraid they are believing lies! Their foundation is being rocked, so keep on rocking! Keep shining that light. Keep walking a consistent walk.
Saint Francis of Assisi said, All
should preach by their deeds. Let your deeds be truth, let your walk be liberty.
In Flakes case it would be #slitheraway.
Some of the most rabid conservatives are former died-in-the-wool libs.
Kris Anne Hall will be a great one to have on our side.
Waist is above your hips.

Walk away.
Although I was just about 21-years-old, and didn’t really follow politics back then, I considered myself a “Democrat”, (but never a “liberal”). It was the same old story, my Dad, Grandparents, etc., were all democrats then, so it’s all I knew.
Then...came Jimmy Carter. Although, like him, I am also from Georgia, his bumbling career and liberal tendencies, sent me packing to the Republican party - for voting purposes...then, Reagan cemented my allegiance to the GOP.
Back then, and to this very day.
I “walked away” and have never looked back, except, to observe that the democrat party is NOTHING like it used to be. When I was young, the democrat party was considered the “working man’s party”, and the Republicans were the “rich elitists”.
Then, a funny thing happened (not really “funny”, but strange), it was called “civil rights”, and the democrat party went hard left, and straight to hell.
Now, it’s “evolved” into the commie/socialist party, hell bent on destroying America.
I too am a recovering democrat (there, I said it). I have to admit, I was young and stupid when I voted for — please don’t beat me up too much — Gore. After 9/11, I became more political and was thankful that W was president at the time. Then I really started looking beyond just the national defense differences and released I agreed with almost everything conservative. I made the switch and never looked back.
“I too am a recovering democrat (there, I said it).”

There are LOTS of us here-—I made it through the 60s-—and the madness of that decade changed me to a conservative.
