Residency fraud is up as families who live outside San Francisco maneuver for spots at some of The Citys most prestigious public schools.
According to data provided by the district, the number of cases in which fraud was sustained jumped from 34 in the 2015-16 school year to 48 in 2016-17 and 53 in 2017-18.
Despite the consistent increase, district leaders grappling with the issue voted last week to extend the reprieve period alloted to families to produce evidence that their child is entitled to their seat before being forced to leave the San Francisco Unified School District, in an effort to minimize the impacts that the fraud investigation has on students.

The sanctuary city of San Francisco is kicking children out of its schools because the lack the proper residency documents. The administrators are stating that their first responsibility is to the residents of San Francisco. Maybe they should build a wall.
Less human excretment on the school sidewalks than other schools?
Happens every year. Every one wants to go to Lowell.
“most prestigious public schools.”
You mean, the fights and threats against teachers will be stated in French? What baloney.
My university bud teaches (he’s the only white dude there) in a gakuen’ or high school in Hokkaido. THOSE are prestigious public schools. Mothers
even promise/provide sex to the administrators just to get their kids into those schools, after a rigorous testing process.

And they force the separation of parents from children each and every indoctr...school day!
It's an Asian thing. They don't want their kids going to the other non-performing schools, meaning mixing with kids who are punks and not studious. Lowell is practically all Asian, but the city does a quota thing sending minorities there. (Chinese and Japanese are not considered to be minorities!)
Going there is no guarantee of success in life. My wife's brother (Chinese) went to Lowell, and he now works as a TSA agent (after having sold cell phones and cars). My wife and I went to Balboa High and we are both successful in life. The school doesn't make you, it's how you perform after graduation that counts.
Those Tiger Moms are too crazy and driven to be nice in the sack. So no dice if I am the administrator.
LOL. The irony here is delicious.
He’s the only white dude in the school and this “practice” has been going on for decades. I asked him, have any mothers flung themselves towards him and he gave me that smirk look. I didnt press any further...;)
Just to remind you “high school” in Japan is ONLY three years vs North America 4 years so summer cram schools are big business.
Like my last post, this “thing’ has been going for more than 60 years. Japanese parents only want the best schools and it’s only 3 years “high school” in Japan vs here like 4 years max. They cram it intensely thats why there is a thing called SUMMER cram school.
Every year they post a list of students who go on to the next year and another “list” of students who failed and due to the embarrassment, families are known to move to another city..yeah, that bad.
I asked him too being the only young 30-ish white single dude/gaijin’ in school, and around a 2 mile radius, how many moms threw themselves at him, he just gave a “smile”..
Just what kind of testing do they put the mothers through?
