And presumably the engine on the lambo was HOT. Hot enough to ignite gas. Or something else.
All engines are going to have very hot exhaust manifolds. High-performance turbos can easily exceed 1,000 degrees.
Aircraft employ a bonding wire to dissipate static charge during fueling. Cars have the metal nozzle of the gas hose. Fuel flowing generates static electricity. Can’t rule out a spark as a culprit.
