This type of behavior might have worked in the 1950s or 1960s...if you look around today, people mostly laugh. You see Democrats each day who are taking the ‘red-pill’ and walking away from the Democratic Party. There’s probably a minimum of a million Democrats from 2016’s election, who won’t vote Democrat anymore. If they keep up the act, by 2020....there’s probably three million ex-Democrats identifying themselves as GOP members.

Apparently, my article limit was zero.
Two reasons.
One, for the past decade or two a standard tactic of the left has been (and continues to be) to accuse the right of being or doing all the terrible things the left actually is and does. Fascism, racism, rejection of diversity, various phobias, etc. If you actually look at the attitudes and behaviors on the left, they are textbook examples of all these things.
Two, by characterizing President Trump and his supporters this way they can justify (at least to themselves) treating him and us as badly as they would want. Consider, if you truly believed someone or some organization was going down the path of German political leadership in the 1930's again - wouldn't you do virtually anything to stop it? Wouldn't almost anything (short of the genocide you would be trying to prevent) be justified? I'll admit obama's "I've got a pen and a phone" comment a few years back seriously scared me. Therefore, by demonizing President Trump and his supporters the left can wield the only power they have remaining - emotion. On virtually every front in politics, economics, legal, international, etc. they and their policies are losing every day. Some days a little, some days a lot. It terrifies them. Their fall from power has been meteoric.
These conditions make them afraid, desperate, and therefore dangerous. The political left - the socialists using fascist techniques and methods - are the single biggest threat to the US. Not Iran, not NK, not China or Russia. The left is the only entity with the means to actually, seriously damage the ideas and ideals of freedom and liberty in the US.
Hasn’t the Demonrats started calling themselves the Socialist Democratic party? Would that not mean they are the USA national socialist party? So then aren’t1 they the country’s NAZI PARTY? Plus now aren’t they encouraging their NAZI youths (brown shirt equivalent) to harass others? Did not thus type of action lead to the holocaust? Conservatives get your concealed weapons permits. Now you can see why the Democrats are pushing so hard for gun control.
The hard-Left’s behind the scenes networks (workers of all sorts who are not the elected policians and not media known faces) in the Democratic Party and the mass media has been immense, and more so than the average person knows.
Their size in the “Liberal” institutions is a factor in the reaction the nation is seeing in their huge loss with Trump’s election - an entire nationwide very influential hard left army has been sidelined, as far as American national policy goes.
The pushing for civil war, even if only socially is a result of how their size magnifies the anger among them. They are not just a few voices talking to nobody. They are a few million bells all going off inside the same bubble.
I suspect a great many of them are going to be heading to the 1960s “radical Left” style violent zone and like the 1960s “radical Left” feeling morally self-justified in doing so.
I put the “radical Left” in quotes because all it really is is the true and natural Left which is authoritarian, and when it is winning it’s mood is calm, but inside that authoritarian is sceaming to get out, to admit what the Left is. The “radical Left” just quits publicly suppressing the true authoritarian nature of the Left.
Ask them to specify and they’re gagged.
So, the left lost to a buffoon.
