If what we read is true, then he is not the strongest pick.

I hope the president ruled out Kethledge. And what’s with all these articles dated today making arguments about who should, or should not be nominated?
Does anyone really believe President Trump has not yet made his decision?

The original article is based on a ‘report’ from The New York Times.
The article is thus, from a known incredible Fake News outlet.
Both the ‘facts’ and ‘interpretation’ of the article are questionable.

Too bad about Kethledge, if that's true. How is Hardiman on immigration? Any cases? One Second Amendment case involving Hardiman looks good.

Empirical SCOTUS blog sees Brett Kavanaugh as likely SCOTUS nomineeABA Journal, American Bar Association ^ | December 12, 2017 | Debra Cassens Weiss
Kavanaugh would be attractive to conservatives because of positions he took on two hot-button issues: gun rights and abortion.
Kavanaugh dissented when the appeals court rejected a challenge to a Washington, D.C., ban on assault weapons enacted after the Supreme Court found an individual right to own guns under the Second Amendment. Kavanaugh also dissented when the full D.C. Circuit required the U.S. government to allow an abortion for a 17-year-old immigrant who was being held in a shelter because she is in the country illegally.

KAVANAUGH, Circuit Judge, dissenting:...In my view, Heller and McDonald leave little doubt that courts are to assess gun bans and regulations based on text, history, and tradition, not by a balancing test such as strict or intermediate scrutiny.

The only judge among the four whom the president appears to have all but ruled out is Raymond M. Kethledge. People close to the process said the president had found him likable but comparatively dull.Trust in the President's wisdom. He has weeded out the Souter among the finalists.

Trump’s problem is that so few Judges qualify at such a basic lawful qualification.
That is a sad, sad testament to the Bar Association.
Incompetents.

Breitbart and Ann are liars.
The discussion of neither case accurately reflects whate Kethledge wrote in his opinions.
I have already discussed these on other threads.
It's sad. I will never listed to Ann Coulter again for what she did - and I don't have a dog in the fight except that I expect real conservatives to show a bit more intellectual honesty than Ann or Breitbart have mustered on this subject. It's like I am reading the slimescompost.

Another useless article with supposition out the ying-yang and nothing but speculative rumor created in the minds of those who would try to use mental telepathy to control Trump....
