A resolution to encourage breast-feeding was expected to be approved quickly and easily by the hundreds of government delegates who gathered this spring in Geneva for the United Nations-affiliated World Health Assembly.
Based on decades of research, the resolution says that mothers milk is healthiest for children and countries should strive to limit the inaccurate or misleading marketing of breast milk substitutes.
Then the United States delegation, embracing the interests of infant formula manufacturers, upended the deliberations...

A newborn needs mother’s milk if at all possible:
Immunoglobulin factors, probiotics, enzymes, essential fatty acids, as well as the optimal protein, fat, and carbkhydrate profile for a human.
Knowing the UN they probably snuck some sanctions against Israel into this resolution.
If thats the case, the title of this article could read WHO trying to block 3rd world nations from Baby formula supply. Interesting how a title can spin the narrative.
This is referring mainly to 3rd world nations where pumping may not be an option.

Given that this is the NYT reporting, and also given that we are not provided the actual language of the administrations requested changes, we must logically assume that this is simply another fake-news hit piece.
Until I see the actual language the administration was pushing, Ill continue to give Trump the benefit of the doubt.
