Cal will not prohibit shower and laundry same day. They are limiting water use. It is not prohibition. In 77 I showered at a friends house on Downey in the Haight. Rinsed, turned off water, soaped myself and laundry, turn on water, rinsed turn off water. Plastic container in shower used to water plants from my shower water.
We did other things in the shower that may have saved water and used the on off method and sharing. My step-son still does that method since he was in the USMC.
The problem with Cal is when it comes to illegals, pensions, and trains to nowhere we have all the money we need; but water projects, and de-sal plants, not so much. Illegals services are more important than water and services to illegal residents to the tune of 21 bill a year.
If those two tasks are beyond the amount allowed if limiting water use, then what?
I mean, if a new Cali law banned all ammo, and the Governor then declared "we did not banned firearms, we are not infringing on your right to own a firearm" would be equally nonsensical.
If there is a law that restricts the amount of gallons of consumption a day, then you will not be able to in totality water the lawn, wash the car, wash the dog, fill the kiddie pool, take a shower, wash your clothes....etc. You will only be able to do a few of these things without incurring a fine or arrest.
