Pressing for a Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade would be a big mistake.
Yes, the new high court vacancy is a huge opportunity for conservative values and principles, I get it. And I understand the passion behind the pro-life movement.

You are thinking that Brown v. Board of Education voided Plessy, but it did not.
It created an EXCEPTION to the general rule of segregation in the case of public schools, based on "recent psychological research" which allegedly showed that applying the perfectly valid and Constitutional rule of "separate but equal" was not permissible IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS because the "research" showed that the "mark of inferiority" associated with separate schools was the cause of poor performance by black students.
Comparing chickens to humans is a trick of the left.
You seem to be on the wrong forum.
You will have noticed by now that, since 1947, the Supreme Court has been engaged in constant reduction of things that the People of the United States, theoretically sovereign, are permitted to decide.
All because they do not acknowledge the obvious - that "liberty" and "equality" are antonyms, and that the increase of one is the diminution of the other, while the achievement of one would mean the extinction of the other.
Since the black-and-white PURPOSE of the US Constitution is to "secure the Blessings of Liberty to Ourselves and our Posterity", it therefore follows that this perpetual attempt to equalize unequal things is anti constitutional and will not end well.
The chicken eggs you eat are not fertilized so no matter how long the hen sits on them, they will never be baby chicks.
I agree. Roe v. Wade needs to be overturned because it was a lousy decision. All of the decisions that amounted to legislating from the bench need to be overturned. Otherwise, what's the point of having a conservative majority on the court?
Personality I think any exemption shows a lack of true belief. Either abortion is murder or it isnt.
If the mother's life is in danger, it is justifiable homicide and self-defense. There is no reason for the mother AND the child to die.
If the mother's career or social life is in danger and she's killing the child - it's murder plain and simple.
But don’t you think that the SCOTUS would strike down any attempt to segregate in public facilities based on the Brown v. Board of Education ruling? If this is so, then how is it really just an exception for public schools.
And you appear to have a very closed mind. I’m open to compromise but you have stated you are not.
Your position is a no-win.
I’m on the right forum. Just because I’m not all the way to one side or the other on this issue doesn’t make me a leftist or any less of a conservative.
I think there are areas of the country where abortion receives such disapproval the there are no abortionists available in the area. Law has to have social as well as a legal sanction in order to be effective, i.e. Prohibition.
So, you feel an activist court can violate the constitution and create a right and simply because that court did so 50 years ago the constitution should continue to be ignored??
I am not actively gunning for roe v Wade to be challenged... but there is no way a constructionist court can uphold it if a case comes before it.
The court completely overstepped its bounds in Roe V Wade, legislation is the department of the legislature not the court.
Personally, Im am a first principles voter, and I have zero respect for conservatives who base their principles on expediancy.
Everyone has the right to life. ESPECIALLY THE UNBORN LIFE WHO CANNOT PROTECT ITSELF.
The unalienable right to LIFE is given by GOD. Its the very first right that we as colonists listed as grievances against the British crown as reason for our independence from them.
Abortion is murder, and I am only taking one position on murder. ITS WRONG and should be illegal in every circumstance.
You are a dumbass. Chicken eggs arent fertilized. But your analogy is insipid, regardless
OK, lets go back to the foundations of this country and The Declaration of Independence. Like it or not, the framers stated that our Independence was based on The Laws of Nature and Natures God...
God, not people
Let that sink in
And then it goes on to say We have certain Inalienable rights, and that AMONG these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness
Life begins at conception, your argument appears to be on you idea of “viability” i.e. when it becomes a “person”. at the beginning, conception. It has a heartbeat an all the necessary elements to continue, if left alone, to grow into a full fetus and be born and go forward in it’s God given right to have all the aforementioned UNALIENABLE rights. There is nothing inherent in these that allows You or anyone to decide when that new creation can be KILLED as a matter of convenience, or more appropriately inconvenience to the mother and by definition the father from whom the sperm came.
A womans womb is an empty vessel without the providing of the necessary of the component required for conception and creation of a human being, a mans sperm. That in a normal sense can only be provided by intercourse. Whether in marriage or outside of it that is the result. Attempts to “qualify” this new human being as being “viable” or really one that falls under the Laws of God previously mentioned shows the foolishness of the speaker. Thou shall not Kill means murder, and to take a living being and force it out and kill it fits that perfectly. Left alone and tended for it will at the duration of the normal growth cycle emerge as a Human Fetus. Even children by other circumstances that are corn prematurely survive, it takes more care but still they are alive.
It also says in the Bible that God will not be mocked, and your curious reference to chickens and eggs is laughable. You should know that Chickens lay eggs all the time, and unless a Rooster has been with her the eggs are unfertile and yield no chicks. During a womans period, her body is flushed of materials in a regular cycle. During that time fertilization of her eggs is very unusual if not impossible.
Strangely you reveal your soul as you compare humans to chickens, your words reveal your inner soul and beliefs. Perhaps you have been faced with your own “oops” moment where the woman was faced with pregnancy from your interaction. Her being able to “take care of it” was ok as your rationalization that it was not yet a Human gave you cover.
Wrong!
Again referring to the Foundational book used by the framers talks about keeping a child from knowing God, and he tells us that tying a millstone around your neck and pushing it into the deepest part of the ocean would be better than that he lay hands on you.
I am sure that you and others will try to push this to the “religion” thread, but our country was formed and founded on Judeo-Christian beliefs, yet we are all allowed freedom of religion. Just as in the Bible we all have to choose, and if your “faith” tells you it is OK to kill a human being that is developing and intercede before it gets too far along to be killed reveals the true nature of you.
By your own words, and laws that were part of our countries “birth” and only subverted by those who seek to deny this inalienable right to garnish votes. 60 million or more souls cry out for justice, and God will provide.
Lol, its not being close-minded to reject ignorance and flawed thinking.
And bringing in democrat voters by the 10s of millions.
Government has NO right to charge me for your abortion, OR to charge me to fund a religious charity that collects per head in human trafficking. Or to charge me for your sex change.
Then it's perfectly okay to reject your thinking is what you're saying because it sounds flawed and ignorant to me.
The second you started calling me names you lost your argument. There's no point in continuing in an argument I have already won.
