A self-styled adventurer is to spend a year living on a melting iceberg off the coast of Greenland to try to draw attention to climate change.
In spring next year Alex Bellini, 36, will find a suitable iceberg off the north west of Greenland where he will remain until it melts.
He hopes his stunt will raise awareness of the impact of global warming, which the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) recently warned is 'widespread and consequential'.

Living in that thing for a year is even funnier than living on an iceberg

I’m going to put an icecube on plate in the back yard and film it while it melts to highlight climate change. Should be worth a substantial NEA grant.

Not a good idea. Icebergs will suddenly flip as they melt. That was the first thought that popped into my head. Of course facts can't get in the way of progressives.

Will he have to go outside to potty? Does his state of the art survival capsule have a toilet as well as heat, electric power, a radio, more food than he could eat in a year.....

the Daily Mail article is from 2014. here he is at it again in 2017: 7 Aug 2017: EcoWatch: This Man Plans to Live Alone on an Iceberg for a Year If everything goes to plan, Alex Bellini could become the first person to live on an iceberg, where temperatures hover between 5 to −4 degrees Fahrenheit and gale-force winds blow. The 38-year-old Italian public speaker and adventurer, who crossed two oceans alone on a row boat and ran across the U.S. in 70 days, recently spoke about his project, Adrift, a years'-long ambition to live in a survival capsule on a Greenland iceberg. Once a suitable iceberg is selected, Bellini plans to conduct research on climate change's affect on ice sheets and to test the limits of human endurance and survival... As IFL Science reported, Bellini initially wanted to kick off the mission around winter 2018. However, funding issues have stalled the project, and more than $500,000 still needs to be raised... https://www.ecowatch.com/alex-bellini-2470193708.html

So how to we convince a few thousand more eko nuts to join him? After they get eaten by sharks it will lower the human population and help slow global warming.

Perhaps it is not for us to convince them, but let Bellini’s example of how to ‘ice walk’ the underside of a berg as it rolls over will encourage more of eco-warriors to take up the challenge in the hopes that all their martyrs will not have perished in vein when one succeeds ...
Now if we could further this meme by mentioning in well place ears that tugs pulling timber barges are easily stopped by sailing a Tupperware deep keel boat between the tug and tow is an excellent way to stop logging and the practice of clear cutting forests ...
Or that holding on to a drift, seine or drag net as it is reeled out or reeled in or clinging to it while in the water is an excellent way to call attention to ‘overfishing’ ...

I have more and I mean a lot more respect for the guy who jumped out of a plane without a parachute and landed in a net than this idiot.. about as dumb as the guy who walked off into the alaskain wilderness a few decades ago.. believing without an ounce of eperience he could “ live off the land” He almost starved to death but instead ate the wrong wild berries and sped up his demise..

Or, God forbid. like the Grizzly bear man and his companion.. (heard the audio of their demise and can’t forget it). This guy might end up being the ‘Polar bear man’.

Wont it melt faster with him living on it? Probably. It's idiots like this guy that are contributing to ice meltage and the glowbull warming problem. Probably an AlGore disciple.

Well, maybe that’s why we survived the previous Presidency.
