12 reasons Amy Coney Barrett should be on the Supreme Court
lifesitenews ^ | July 6,2018 | Doug Mainwaring

1.) NARAL fears her:

2.) Planned Parenthood fears her:

3.) Seasoned Democrat politicians have attacked her Catholicism

4.) Likewise, Senator Dick Durbin a fellow Catholic, may have illegally grilled Barrett during her Senate confirmation hearing last fall, attempting to impose a religious litmus test on the nominee:

5.) Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer has attempted to use scare tactics to make her a toxic choice: “If chosen as the nominee, she will be the deciding vote to overturn Roe v. Wade.

6.) The New York Times published a hit piece, hoping to derail Barrett’s 2017 confirmation. The Grey Lady was disturbed that Barrett’s Senate interrogators had failed to call attention to her affiliation with an ecumenical Christian community, the People of Praise in South Bend, Indiana.

7.) MSNBC mocked Barrett for her faith. NewsBusters.org reports:

On Tuesday, MSNBC hosts and correspondents displayed their religious intolerance by attacking the faith of potential Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett. During one hour after another, Barrett’s membership in a faith group was ridiculed and listed as one of her “potential weaknesses” in a Senate confirmation fight. [...]

8.) Ruth Marcus at the Washington Post says she “is a danger”:

9.) CNN’s Chris Cillizza insulted Amy Coney Barrett, and by association, the country’s entire female population, by deploying a misogynist attack, suggesting that if she were chosen as the nominee

10.) The very liberally-minded folks at Slate.com alleged that Barrett belongs to what looks like a “cult.”

11.) “The more Progressive Democrats attack her, the more likely [Barrett] is to be the nominee to replace Anthony Kennedy

Writing at legalinsurrection.com, Jacobson quotes an article in the Washington Post suggesting that Barrett is “everything Trump’s base could want. But she also gives Trump something less tangible: The opportunity to stoke a culture war.”

Sounds silly to me...

I think he should nominate her because she was not put on the bench by George Bush..

And the court needs people from all over the country not just Yale and Harvard...

Last we need a consertive women...Trump can do a man when Ginsberg is gone..

I get that she’s pro-life but what else is she good on? Is she pro-2A? What about illegal aliens?

Yes abortions are bad. But so are illegal aliens.

Whoever President Trump selects will have to have a proven track record in both arenas.

Barrett is a candidate with only 7 months on the bench and no track record on immigration—not good enough when the future of our Republic is at stake.

She clerked for Scalia and strongly believes in his judicial philosophy. That is great reason she should be the choice.

That’s what I want to know. I worry that she’s a one issue ‘conservative’ and will be a moderate squish (or worse) on everything but abortion.

Sanders, Nielsen, Melania, Bondi. This will complete the War on women meme. Very useful for the mid terms.

The anti-Catholic rhetoric will also sink the Dems. The pro-life base should be energized.

13th “reason,” will Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski vote to confirm her?

No one cares what the author thinks or what we think. No one.

“3.) Seasoned Democrat politicians have attacked her Catholicism”

Aren’t five Catholics (and three Jews) already on the SCOTUS. And yes. Gorsuch says he’s an Episcopalian, but that is a distinction without a different theologically speaking.
So how about a “garden variety” Protestant Christian for a change?

#6: "I worry that she’s a one issue ‘conservative’ and will be a moderate squish "

She has been accused of virtue signaling with her mixed race family and adopted Haitians third worlders. The virtue signaling with the "childdddddddddren" meme makes me suspect she will be a squish on the Second Amendment, not to mention immigration. She is already Okey-Dokey with foreigners invading her own household.

And she’s pretty

The rest of the women on the court are homely

Ginsburg was cute as young woman

Yes it’s true

Is she pro-2A?

My first question. If the answer is “no” or even “meh”, then look elsewhere.

“no track record on immigration”

She chose to adopt two foreign children (Haiti) over adopting two American children.

She chose foreigners over Americans.

I don’t like her.

I'd gladly, enthusiastically go for a "garden variety" Protestant, Evangelical, Fundamentalist, Methodist, Mormon or Martian if they understand the fundamental nature of the right to life.

It's not that that's the "single" issue or the "only" issue, it's that it's the fundamental issue. The basis for all the others.

If you don't even know that every human being is endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, you literally have no foundation on which to build or defend a Constitution.

Give me a candidate from whatever faith community who has a strong grasp on the basics, and I will come out for them with a bass drum, a megaphone, and an 8-column headline in All-caps.

Power to the Protestant Prolifers!

It is well known the left ‘fears her’.

The concern is: will she buckle under what is sure to be intense pressure to go PC?

That may not be the only issue some have with Amy Barrett, but this one is huge.

Short term she may hold steady conservative. Long term not so sure. I say no womens. Nominate Judge Pirro or Laura Ingraham might be more confident in the long run.
