My guess is that Medical Schools are worried that they may end up being LEGALLY LIABLE FOR DAMAGES caused by unqualified graduates that, SOLELY BECAUSE OF RACE, the schools recruited and fed into the medical profession over more highly qualified candidates.

And that’s after med schools do everything they can (special tutoring, etc.) to avoid having any student flunk out. Flunking out often results in a permanent vacancy in that class as it progesses, and they want/need the continued revenue.
