WTF!? this looks just TERRIBLE!

Why does this look terrible? We're talking about seasonal workers, done legally. They fill seasonal jobs which the locals can't supply enough of.

This is in no way contradictory to our stance on ILLEGAL immigration.

The most irritating scam with seasonal American workers is how they get unemployment in the off-season. The cost of such workers should be whatever the market will bear at the time of employment—and not a year-round US taxpayer giveaway after that.

Pruitt was an ongoing embarrassment. If a conservative is that petty-crooked it is time to redefine conservative.

Trump needs to keep draining the swamp, which means he can’t have his own team making a spectacle of their own corruption.

all the tourist destinations up and down the east coast are filled with young college aged foreign workers coming to the states for the summer season. Nothing out of the ordinary. I've been to resorts and summer beaches from Maine to Miami and they all employ European youngsters looking for a summer experience. I enjoyed the company of a young lady from Belgium one summer as she was a live-in Au Pair for a snooty family in DC.

I have noticed that the level of competent American workers, (cashiers, waiters, waitresses, sales personnel, etc,) has fallen considerably, in the last few years.

Maybe there is a shortage of competent help.....competent being the key word here.

Oh for God’s sake they do this every year. They hire a few seasonal workers who go home after.

These aren’t H1B jobs they are H2B visas

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H-2B_visa
“The H-2B visa nonimmigrant program permits employers to hire foreign workers to come temporarily to the United States and perform temporary nonagricultural services or labor on a one-time, seasonal, peakload or intermittent basis.”

Here are the applications

There is some price point where you can fill all 40 jobs with honest, reliable, hard working, sober Americans.

We have imported about 12 million LEGAL immigrants in the last 10 years. That does not even include the 1.5+ million work visas we issue each year.

And still, business owners cry out for “More. More. More.”

Massive LEGAL immigration has completely warped our economy, our capital investments, our R&D, and our long term planning.

Amen! Our President said "Hire American" - now he needs to walk the walk.

Except in this case we're talking about Oct to March. Hard to get school kids those months.

Re: “Pruitt was an ongoing embarrassment. If a conservative is that petty-crooked it is time to redefine conservative.”

“If” is the most important word in your Comment.

Are you endorsing the veracity of the New York Times, Senate Democrats, The Sierra Club, and a Deep State “Ethics” investigator?

Do you endorse the legal persecution of Donald Trump by the DOJ, FBI, and MSM?

Bottom Line - when was the last time Republicans vigorously defended any Conservative who was under assault by the Political Left?

And the flip side of that question - when do the Democrats EVER fail to defend one of their own?

Re: “Oh for God’s sake they do this every year. They hire a few seasonal workers who go home after.”

Few?

There are roughly 66,000 low skill H-2B foreign employees in the USA at any given time.

And, Kirstjen Nielsen, Trump's Secretary of Homeland Security, requested a 15,000 worker increase for 2018.

Why can't Trump - and all the other employers who hire H-2Bs - just increase their wage scale high enough to attract reliable, hard working Americans?

If Trump can't afford to hire Americans, then he needs to develop a new business plan.

Way too much smoke there. All the carp about trying to find his wife a job for $200k a year just goes on top of multiple stupid things like that. Trump knew what he was doing in asking for his resignation.

A lot of those are legal resident students, who only work part time, and that area is far more Hispanic than other areas. The news media plays on this information to make Trump and others look bad to the public! SAD!

H-2B workers are only hired in places, where Americans are not available or applying for the job.

Re: “Way too much smoke there.”

Yes - from fires set by the Political Left.

Scott Pruitt - Newt Gingrich - Tom Delay - Robert Bork - Roy Moore - Ted Stevens - Donald Trump (pending)

These are planned, systematic, legal assassinations with huge political consequences.

The Left will never, ever stop - unless we make them stop.

Self-inflicted on Pruitt’s part. Trump was right to cut the cord.

“Well it IS hard to find Millennials who are willing to do actual work. “

The youngest Millennial is now out of college-——it is the next generation-—whatever they are called.

I have grandkids on both generations and they all have been working part time and summers since they were about 15.

Re: “A lot of those are legal resident students”

Just for clarity...

“Legal Resident” typically means someone with a Green Card, which means they do not need a visa to work in the USA.

The “students” you are probably thinking about go to foreign universities. They come here in the summer with a combination Tourist-Work-Study J-1 visa. From memory, the annual quota is big, like 350,000.

Re: “H-2B workers are only hired in places, where Americans are not available or applying for the job.”

There more than 1.5 million people living in Palm Beach County.

If Donald Trump raised the wage scale at Mar-a-Lago, he could hire 40 reliable, hard working Americans with no problem at all.

If Trump can't afford to hire Americans, he needs to develop a new business plan.

Re: “Self-inflicted on Pruitt’s part.”

Once again - why should any Conservative trust “evidence” provided by the Political Left?
