Judge Kethledge rigorously enforces all laws as they are written, including the immigration laws. He knows that faithfully applying the Immigration and Nationality Act means respecting Congress's decision to give federal courts only a limited role in the immigration process.

Trump won the Catholic vote. Trump Catholic voters know our Bishops have been leftists for the most part of fifty years. We are not stupid enough to listen to our Bishops and the Pope about open border illegal immigration or any other political bull cr*p made to look like a moral imperative.
What the HELL are her qualifications?! She has NONE on any bench. You just like her “story” and her “background”. We dont need that kind of gimp crap.

Yeah I actually agree with that - I want someone who has been consistently outspoken in defense of the Constitution and who has taken the heat for that without wavering. So I have no issue with waiting on Barrett. DJT will have more picks if all goes well.
To the poster who doesn’t trust Catholic judges because they might follow the lead of their bishops, how does he explain Scalia, Alito and Thomas? Bad Catholic bishops are nothing new.

I know. Ideally, I’d like for Trump to find a better choice without that kind of baggage. Its just that his judicial record seems pretty good to me and that record is more recent. Maybe I’m wrong. regardless, I’m glad its not my choice to make, because I see negatives with all of them.
Laura treated a radio host that interviewed her on a local show like a dog, even on air. Complained that he was not hawking her book enough on air. Complained about the length of the breaks, complained that her time was valuable....as if his show should be honored to have her on it.
Was derogatory on & off air with him & his personal. It was ugly behavior. This radio host is a staunch conservative & was really flabbergasted by her behavior & the whole interview turned into a mess.
I listened to this ugly rant for over half an hour. I’ve never heard a guest talk like she did to friendly press.
I dont see her laughing and having fun that much on air.
And Kethledge is only 51...could give us 35 years.
You seem to be confusing a paper trail for qualifications. It’s entirely reasonable to insist on a candidate with more of a paper trail AS one qualification, or on having one as WELL as qualifications. For someone as young as she is, her demonstrated expertise is remarkable.

The immigration laws of the United States are the most lenient in the world. Those liberal clowns of the USCCB (United states Conference of catholic Bishops) have their interest focused on only one agenda - filling the Sunday collection plate. These modernist bishops want the flow of illegals to continue unimpeded to make up for the loss of Mass attendance that has occurred over the last 60 years, the direct result of their damnable liberalism being implemented in the Church.
Most Mexicans, Central and South Americans are staunch Catholics - and they will fall over themselves in obedience to these wolves in sheep’s clothes.
You should read what Thomas Aquinas had to say about immigration and respecting a nation’s sovereignty. The VERY LIBERAL “Catholic” Bishops are full of crap - as usual.
I don’t listen to her radio show, but I do pop in on her TV show where she seems to be on her best behavior.
After dealing with her behavior up close and personal I’m not impressed with her people skills. This was a small-time radio guy....I have no doubt she would treat a better know personality with more respect.
Sort of like you can judge a person on how they treat the help: waiters, cab-drivers & whatnot. She failed that test.

The question arose because Barrett is a devout Catholic, and to what degree does it indicate that she is in accord with the Catholic hierarchy. She has such a limited track record it is really hard to surmise what she might do if installed on the high court.

Total BS. Prove your accusations against Barrett. Nothing I have discovered in any of her writings or commentary indicates any such preference for open borders or globalism. In fact, I find the exact opposite to be true.
She needs more experience on the appellate bench.
