Justice Kennedy was a fierce defender of the First Amendment. As he explained in one of his last opinions on the bench, the government must not be allowed to force persons to express a message contrary to their deepest convictions. Freedom of speech secures freedom of thought and belief.
Not many can fill Justice Kennedys shoes when it comes to the First Amendment. But one who might is Justice Kennedys former law clerk: Judge Raymond Kethledge of the Sixth Circuit.
Court watchers love comparing nominees to sitting justices. Judge Kethledges writing reminds me of the Chiefs. His focus on statutory text? Justice Thomas. He shares Justice Kennedys commitment to civil discourse. Will Judge Kethledge fortify his former bosss legacy on the First Amendment? We may find out soon enough."
I have been trying to find out what his religious background is and have come up with nothing, aside from Hugh Hewitt saying he is a "man of faith".
Also, the name: "Kethledge" seems to be extremely rare. I could only find about a dozen "Kethledge's" in the US in the various people search engines. I think it originates from England, but am not sure.
I like this man a lot too.
Type in Kethledge and Vince Foster. You might want to read up.
Just tried “Geni Surnames” and they did not have a single Kethledge among their profiles.
I think you're confusing Kethledge with Kavanaugh.
Kavanaugh is linked to Foster, not Kethledge.
You might want to smarten up and learn to read up.
When Kethledge was asked last year which of the other contenders for Scalia’s seat he would recommend, Kethledge said “Gorsuch”
They will try to make hay out of this on Kethledge:

Go to page 9 after opening it up.
Kethledge’s paternal grandfather was Raymond Ketchledge (1919-1987)—the spelling of the surname was changed but I don’t know when or why. There is a handful of Ketchledge profiles on Geni.
Yikes!
