It isnt oil companies that determine the price anyway. Its the dirtbag oil traders on the stock market.

You left out some key players, federal, state and local that tax the crap out of gas.

One of the few apps I downloaded was Gasbuddy. Comes in handy when in unfamiliar areas.

Here’s the web address: https://www.gasbuddy.com

Thanks for the tips.

But then there’s Moonlight in Vermont...

>>>It’s feasible for me to produce milk in my backyard, gasoline not so much<<<

Which proves once again that Gasoline is a Bargain at ten times the price we pay today. Mad Max anyone?

Thanks for the correction. My timeline might be wrong even grossly wrong but the chart shouldn’t be inflation adjusted because people remember comparatively what they paid vs cost of groceries today.

The federal government is behind the inflation we experience.

Gas in Somerset PA. is $3.09 gal...in our neighboring state of Maryland it is $2.75 so we drive a few miles extra to fill up in another state..

I remember buying gas for 28.9 cents a gallon - now 7-9 times that depending on the fluctuations....bought a Camaro in '74 for $4K - now 10 times or more to buy one. Dad bought a 3-bedroom split level in '62 for $13.5K - same house in that area now 15-20 times that.

Everyone hates paying more for everything and they see the gas prices as they fluctuate more than any other prices of items they may buy because it's on signs all over the place as they drive...as it is, even though I prefer $2 gas, $3 ain't outrageous.

Prices have gone up enough that gasoline is cheaper below 3.25 or so than it was at .35

One thing that would almost instantly impact the price of gasoline in a positive way would be to have the EPA remove the requirement for special blends.

Make no mistake, the Media is jumping all over the Gas Price increases to damage POTUS Trump.

When I was paying $4.75 a Gallon for Premium (91 Octane) in CA back in 2014, they went after the Evil Big Oil Companies when it was all Market Driven.

Crazy Maxine wanted to Nationalize the Oil Companies.

Now the Media is pushing the idea that POTUS Trump is to blame while back then Obama was spared any responsibility even though his “leave the Oil in the ground” strategy was causing the problem.
