Mexico’s president-elect, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, on Monday thanked President Trump for congratulating him on his election win and said the pair will “reach an understanding," according to The Associated Press.
López Obrador, who triumphed in Sunday’s presidential election over the ruling PRI party, is a leftist who has previously criticized Trump. He wrote a book titled "Oye, Trump" ("Listen Up, Trump"), which criticizes the U.S. president's plans to build a wall along the U.S. southern border.
Trump tweeted his congratulations to López Obrador on Monday.
"I look very much forward to working with [Lopez Obrador]," Trump tweeted on Monday. "There is much to be done that will benefit both the United States and Mexico!"
López Obrador described the congratulations as “very respectful.”
“We are never going to disrespect the U.S. government, because we want them to respect us," López Obrador said in an interview with the news network Televisa, according to the AP. “At the appropriate moment, we are going to get in touch, to reach an understanding.”

Understanding? Mexico is responsible for anyone crossing into US from Mexico. Either they stop it or we close the border and all commerce. More? Mexico should prepare and take back the 25% of its citizens that are infesting the US.

Now that the radical left has power in Mexico, the economy will take a dive and there will be a surge of migrants heading to the US. Better build that wall quick and expand ICE.

If you really wanted to make things interesting....go down to the major universities in Mexico with a US HR team, and seek to recruit their best and brightest for jobs in the US. Take an entire generation into the US. By summer of next year, we will be onto Trump’s next million (we are 3.2 million jobs now) jobs.
Very true, and that includes realizing AMLO is stuck between a rock (Trump) and several hard places - the cartels, AMLO's communist "supporters" and Mexico's economy.

I have a feeling that Trump is going to solve the illegal crossing problem by the fact that it is not the PRI that he is dealing with now in Mexico.
